Not going through insurance... I'm too young with too big a bike to allow them to increase my premium!! I've got a friend that came out to see me in the back of the ambulance and took my bike off of the police just in the nick of time before it got taken to Winchester or something equally far away from Reading! Think this whole thing is going to cost me a fair few squids
Ouch! Glad to hear you're OK. Sorry to hear about the bruises and the bike, but they can both be fixed. Here's hoping for a swift and full recovery - Keep knocking back the red wine and all will be well.
Broken indicator, scratched wing mirror, hole warn through the side of the fairing, crash bung trashed, brake lever bent backwards, foot peg mounting bent, engine casing has a hole, exhaust has a scrape and a small hole... not too bad considering it slid for 20m
I'm feeling pretty pleased how little damage there is... It's still shocking how much damage a little kitty cat can do when hit at 20-25mph head on!!! Aim is to have the bike back on the road by next weekend
I've been told (Joe!) that apparently that was the move I was aiming to recreate... while in a 30 zone on a straight road
Get well soon. Never thought what would happen if you hit a cat. Makes me think..as we have a forest..and foxes and dears ate out on the roads at night..
She lives! Only took 2.5weeks, new crash bungs, brake assembly, new oil and a paint job Apart from the scratched up mirrors and exhaust you'd never know I'd thrown her 20m down the road Took her for a ride this evening... rides like a dream! Thawing out in front of the fire now grinning like fook!
