Second hand, but in excelent condition. Cost 749 € = 581 GBP.
In addition, a carbon fairing to cover the pipes. Cost 108 € = 84 GBP.

Changed rear tyre back to a 50 profile . Think my Blade works better with a 50 profile.
Changed the front sprocket back to 16T . I had a 15T front sprocket fitted when I had the 55 profile rear as the 55 profile changed the gearing alot .
The 55 profile rear tyre made the steering a little bit twitchy/nervous on very fast sweeping bends . Also did not like the change it made to the gearing .
The 15T front sprocket made the engine vibrate a little as the chain is running around a smaller sprocket .
Honda have spent years developing the Fireblade an I dont want to move away front that . :D

Finally getting close to putting my bike back on the road. Been a looooong winter of mods and maintenance and today was finishing off the front fork oil / dust seals. Oil from when I installed the Matris Cartridges was in not bad nick from 3000 miles, but once I pumped the cartridge a few times though in the bucket the oil coming out was quite contaminated.

Been a long winter so far as the bike has been off the road since late September..role on the spring!! since it was such a nice day, decided to start the bike (i know i know i shouldn't have blah blah) but it was great hearing that exhaust rasp again :)

Looking really great Gilesy, bet you can't wait to get back on her. I had a six week break until last weekend and that was way too long.

can't wait! was a nice enough day today for a wee spin but i'm wanting her all finished before that first rip. Still needing a new set of front pads and a couple more titanium bolts replaced from the kit that was supplied wrong from race bolt.. then its spit and polish time and go for a thrash!

Titanium is a bit like crack... I started on the titanium this week... Started as a small bit, then i got a couple more bolts... Thought i could handle it, it wasn't a problem... Then i ordered a rear axle nut, and then the sprocket bolt kit... All my other bits just weren't as good anymore, so you have to get more to get the same fix, but everywhere you start looking, you see steel or aluminium and i developed a bad case of chromophobia... Where will this end...
