Thinking of selling my VFR just testing the water at the minute to see if there is any interest I paid £1300 for this bike last year and rode it for approximately 200 miles, the bike is brilliant, awesome handling and puts a smile on your face everytime It does however require some carb work and with the racing season coming up and work commitments I just don't have time to play with it and sort it out properly Looking to sell and buy something newer as I'm going round Scotland this summer and would prefer something with a little more go Bike has done around 30K miles from memory although I will have to check
What sort of price are you looking for it Tyke. May help with sale. Also is it OEM plastics or have they been changed over to aftermarket fairings?
I think £1000 would be reasonable, it would be a bit of a project for anyone which is why I've put it on here first. The carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned however I'm not so confident in setting them up, better someone with a bit more technical savvy. Fairings aren't original but are in great nick and fit well.
A great buy for anyone then. I would like 1 at some point. Just got too much on the go at the moment. I love a wee project too
Yeah its a shame because its perhaps the most fun bike I've owned, still not sure yet as could send it to a garage
Yes they are little pocket rockets just keep them pinned and they go ease throttle off then your playing gear changers ,I am lazy so try and pinn it
Setting the carbs up isn't as expensive as you think YT, I think my mate paid about 50quid to have his balanced
It's not that difficult to do, you just need to buy a set of vacuum guages. But if you're selling it anyway you might as well pay to have it done.
just shows how expensive this biking lark can be.either 3 sets of tyres to last 3 race weekends,or a pretty decent classic bike for as long as you want it for.
