Just booked this along with a mate of mine cookie and hopefully few others .

It's the Thursday before we're racing there so will be also doing the test day on the 20th then racing there on the 20/21st .:D

Not done a open pit lane before but I am going to try and get a suspension company to come and spend the day with me so if anyone else fancies this let me know as you can have up to 3 bikes approx £200 each.

Did have this planned for oulton park but would prefer to do it on a open pit lane.

Might not get anyone yet so will then do oulton but you have to admit it's better to get a suspension company on a open pit lane than a normal trackday.

What it says on the tin - open. Go out and do As much and for as long as you like.

    They stop for lunch.

Meant to be aimed at experienced riders but apparently you get all levels out and it can become a bit lively  but I'd imagine it being a race weekend it'll put some folk off...

Haven't done one personally but from what I've heard.

I done one at cadwell its out when you want with a max number of bikes on the track they do say no novices but there is can be a bit hairy at times IMO had to go grass cutting a few times when brakes were applied for the kink on park straight

It is lively yes. Just remember that some people will think they are better than they are. I had a few hairy moments but for testing in and out with settings is perfect just don't expect to get a decent lap

I can see the appeal and why open pit lane might be useful for some, but the wide mix of abilities and therefore closing speeds puts me off these.

As a mid intermediate rider I wouldn't dare do something like that on a road bike.It will be like you're going backwards:eek:

Well I've just booked on but to be honest i may not be able to make it or the race weekend because of work commitments all through March, i know I'm busy as fook from the middle of March and its work i just can't turn down as i need the money:mad:

I will do my very best to be there, the women at Nolimits said it was almost booked up and i explained that i may cancel but she was cool...

Suppose that's a good thing with you having" the ticket to ride "you won't loose any money if you cancel :D

Be great if you can get there especially if you there the week before as you will be doing BSB times round there .:D

We shouldn't need to with it been a open pit lane there won't be as many people as a normal trackday and there are plenty of garages there think no limits need at least 8 to reserve a garage but you don't need to proove this so book one if you want .
