Well a full programme over just Sat & Sunday, that's pretty rare in this day and age.

Call out for the Cruise Liner works team, top result, they seem to have got the train back on the rails. LvG is starting to make old sourpuss Fergie look like quite a friendly old goat, looked like he had swallowed a whole bucket of chillis yesterday.
That's 7 points from 9 against the so called powerhouses in the PL.....the faithful must be starting to dream. Koemans CV will start to become a concern at this rate.

The top 2 flipped a bit and it will probably be like this until the end of the season.

This seasons 1 man PL team got a good result against Stoke, they must be wrapping Sanchez up in 2 layers of cotton wool between games, the Liverpool lesson is probably looming large in the comfortable surrroundings of the Emirates board room about the dangers of losing your best player.

The rest pushing for CL or EL places had a mixed bag, after heaping praise on the Spuds, they had a drawers down day, and Pardews Eagles made it 2 out of 2 for the new man, just shows how players seem to react to a new man in charge and up their game for a while.

West Ham let yet another away lead slip and got pegged back by Swansea, dropping yet more points from a a winning position, and Liverpool ground out a win away to the Black Cats.

The table is shaping up for the run into May, Chelski & Citeh are locks for the CL and IMO 6 teams are fighting over 2 places, with the Gooners doing their usual after Christmas run for qualification, never looking seriously good enough to win the PL, but yet a another season making up the CL numbers, which might satisfy Wenger but leaving an ever restless faithful to show their rumblings of discontent.

Down in the basement, its getting ugly and they are all tripping up on each other, 8 teams fighting to avoid the bottom 3, too close to call, Leicester on a mini rival with 7 from 9, pulling out of what looked like total oblivion and back in with a shout, Sunderland doing the opposite and are being dragged in with barely a whimper.

Arrys sorry little crew just sitting in there occupying a return ticket to the Championship, and now over the hill journeymen players gobbing off at their travelling faithful, why these players just don't keep their mouths shut and just chuckle at their bank balances is beyond me.

The best I can do at present is shut my eyes and stick a pin in for the 3 fallers, too hard to call.

Now a last parting shot at the inequalities of PL football, Citeh a team under sanction is able to spu*k 30 Mill plus an expected wage bill in the millions over the contract period for Mr Bony, please someone tell me how that works.

I have no problems with Bony preparing to jump ship, there is no such thing as loyalty any more, and careers are short and the best players want to play on the top stage, which is the CL, not the PL, but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, its not the answer, but if we are going to run with a transfer window and not have a free for all, then I would love to see the January window kicked into history, it destabilises players, teams and supporters alike......but sad to say I will probably still be glued to Sky Sports for the closing night dramas of the January window slamming shut, addicted as I am.

Not good especially as long got injured having wangyama and scherderlin out made a big dent in the midfield can't believe all the other results a real opportunity wasted but we can focus on the league but what it does show across the board all the hype and over paid foreign players - well done to Cambridge the other night , palace I think pardew will keep you up played very well 1st half and a wonder save in the 88th min . Good luck in the next round.

Surprising that, bearing in mind Soton haven't won anything for 39 years I would have thought a little FA Cup glory would look quite sweet, still nothing worse than getting to the final and 30000 supporters go. 'We don't give a shit' and stay at home I guess

No your right Kentblade we would love a trip to Wembley we did win the paint trophy went then right at the very top dots running around below! Also finial in Cardiff vs Arsenal was a great day out but it does seam to have lost its sparkle and that's not just because we lost, I do love it when the lower league teams give the big boys a run for there money and hats off to Bradford, we just win every week as a saints supporter as we are grateful of where we are and as a club how we have come back from the brink just look at Pompey down the road,

OK guys, I am back in blighty and have my eye back on the ball after 2 weeks of non stop work in that closed to the outside world country called the Land of the Free.

    Lets start with the bottom.

Confirming what we have known all season Leicester and QPR are shite. Now Arry has jumped ship, even his faithful dog has been unable to pick a team loaded with high paid donkeys that cannot even buy a win.
Is he sacked, is he still there? Nigel Pearson, its like a murder mystery, tbh I could manage them with the same results as a pro........only one way and its down.
As for the rest of the drop zone take a pin and stick it in, too close to call, although if I was a betting man, Villa would be my favourites for the drop.
Pardew must a stepped into the biggest pile of dog poo in history on his way into Palace, remarkable turnaround the new broom has made......surely that's weighing on the mind of the Leicester board, but I still think Palace have better players. It just goes to show how you can dominate the Championship and be abject failures in the Prem...the gulf is now so big its becoming a constant swim up upstream to survive.

Now the top.... well as we can see above Jimbo has shot his load over a win against those hated rivals, for my part the arrival of Harry Kane has been a difference maker, loaned out 4 times, finally a manager has give the lad a run and his confidence has built over the weeks to where now those voices in the night are seeing him as an England savoir, lets not put too much pressure to soon, but this kid looks like a real goal poacher........used to be a certain guy called Jimmy down the Lane that could do that........Adebayor 100K a week and can't even remember the way to the goal, just shows how home grown talent can flourish given the chance.

Just when the title race was hotting up into a 2 horse race, Citeh revert to type and start playing like every game is a Champions league fixture, Chelseas to lose now.

My Sales Execs Gooners were on their little mini run they go on every season, prompting comments across the office that cream always rises to the top and this is the best team since the invincibles, Corzola this and Ozil that etc etc. Now certain members here know I am no Spuds fan, but I did fire of a few sharp texts to Gooners after that one :). Also a certain Mr Sanchez was not playing.....see where I am thinking with this one?

Cruise liner works team is still banging away, great run since Mid Dec with only a surprising loss to the Swans, stamped their ticket and they must qualify somewhere for Europe next season.

Likewise the Pool have got a steady roll on, nothing spectacular but steady.

Well having stood there through the the Hammers game yesterday I am amazed at United, when I looked at the team sheet, RVP, Falcao, Di Maria, Rooney, Januzaj and looked at my patched up Hammers defence I feared the worst, but then again I looked at the United defence and saw donkeys Jones , Rojo, Shaw so put my wedge on 1-1.

The game was very different, West Ham outplayed them in nearly every phase of the game and still LvG left the best player on the bench, Mata. I think this guy must be visiting too many coffee shops, as something is playing with his mind.
Only top quality keeping by de Gea stopped a rout, and to think 2 years ago they were baying for his head on the terraces of the self styled Theatre of Dreams...bad luck Manks, if he has any brains he is off to Madrid asap.

So walking out having watched them grab an undeserved equaliser felt like a loss, even with 50 quid nestled in my sky rocket as compensation.

Later I read Sam Allerdichi suggests long ball United undid his defence. Well this must be the biggest irony in Premier league history, I checked the stats, the guy that invented long ball footie was correct, Hammers played 52 long balls, which is about the average for a Prem game from a top team, United played an eye watering 86, which is QPR style......no wonder at that talent is struggling the freaking ball never touched the ground, Hoof Ball United, so sad from a man steeped in the history of a country that invented Total Football.

And as for the rest, well we all know the score on that, making up the numbers whilst earning a fortune.
