    Hi all just bought a RR9 and will turn it into a track bike and possibly go for a daylight mot. Just picked it up from Yorkshiregooner a Cat C salvage so will now apply for the V5. Its a very clean '59 Repsol minus bodywork. I got a bare set of trackday body work with it so will be fitting this in the future. I dont plan on spending much in the way of upgrades as simply Zi can't afford it but I am handy with a mill m/c and lathe so will be making what I can. Upgrades I will do include;
    Brakes upgrade, captive spacers, all spacers in ally including wheel internal spacers, quick release spindles, captive rear caliper, QA throttle, rearsets with either HRC hose or integral reservoir.
    Just got it into shed and fitted this:

    Its -5*C at the mo so will post up more pics soon.

    You will enjoy the Blade build if you are into engineering, Honda build a good solid bike in general. I only stick with Blades or lately 600rr's. If you need any advice I would be glad to help out.

    Does the Brembo caliper clear the Oem rear wheel?

    Thought there was clearance issues ?

    Hi yes it clears by 1mm I will also make it captive to allow easy and quick wheel changing. Went out today and rattled up a set of crash bung/ paddock stand bobbins.

    Got the caliper bracket captive and the new Disc Im using for TC pulse fitted, also made ally captive spacers and wheel location plate. Rear wheel change is; spindle nut off spindle out wheel out wheel in spindle in nut on, and is quicker than I wrote it.

    I will be fitting IRC traction control so hopefully have the sensors fitted soon.

    the rear caliper looks like a real good job, makes the wheel change so much easier. i have had experiance with the IRC system before on track, though only in dry and my feelings toward it where less than positive. although in the wet or road conditions it may be more useful.
    at Jerez it was cutting in way to much in its lowest setting, and i found it actually held me back untill i switch it off altoghether.
    again at kirkistown in Northern Ireland it was the same problem coming onto the straight.
    binned it after that.
    in saying that it may be better in a wet track/roads situation, but thats only my thoughts.........
