Thanks, I read that to fit blank off plates u need to remove the two little screws from reeds as they protrude and plate won't seal?? Was abit worried about taking them out as don't want reeds to fall inside? Is there any difference in blanking them off or doin as Tom said?
Looks like I will need the blanking plates... As I have fitted the quickshifter loom to coils there isn't enough room for linking pipe and loom connectors :/ However I did fit the shifter and linkage rod today
Swapped the damaged R&G casing cover with one I picked up cheap-ish off fleabay. Discovered that one allen bolt head was mangled but managed to get it off OK with the aid of a flat scredriver and a smaller allen key. Then went to fit the CRF rear MC but found out that it doesn't line up with the OEM rearset. I don't know what to do about it at the moment as I don't have the equipment to turn one hole into a slot, and I don't even know if it is feasible with the material of the rearset.
PM'd Dan who used to have it on his bike. He says he did similar to that and hopefully I'll be able to find the pics he put up of what he did. Updated: Dan's pics are here. Will have to see if I can find a suitable bit of metal, although I would need to lean the top backwards a bit as it is close to the exhaust heatshield on my 07.
OOooo, I might have dropped one, when I did the PAIR mod I didn't remove the little screws in the reed valve, I did check it out and it looked like it had sealed, is it essental to remove them ??
Thanks for the reply, I put a H7R on the dip beam but not in the main but saying that I still paid £45 for it, the low beam is excellent but the main was allover, i tried alsorts to get the beam right so I got it out, I also changed the side light bulb to a 6000k, looks fab.
I bought it off Dano and it came with a new diaphram and braided silver hose. Would be tempted to sell it if I get a sensible offer and get one of the bolt-on GSG reservoirs from ebay.

Soo today I brought some aluminium to make blank off plates for PAIR View attachment 29737 £3.50!! Then removed reeds to remove the screws, had to use moul grips! View attachment 29738 Then attempt to make blanking plate... Using the only tools to had, a blunt hacksaw blade and a grinder with a grinding disc!! Bit of catch up on my part in this thread, fitted my new tail tidy last weekend to compliment the R77 I fitted over Christmas, and gave the bike a bit of spit and polish - here's a gratuitous photo to show my efforts PCV and some new cotton reels that actually fit my paddock stand ordered today too
Thanks mate, well I thought they would of been easier to make, I did look at the buying the ones in you're link but they were from Greece so thought might take a while ect... I'll see how my own ones come out plus I thought saving £25 here i could put it towards new air filters which is my next question... Which filters do people recommend?
