Cool stats. Just be sure to switch to UK units by clicking the "UK" link in the top left. At first I thought it was crap mileage - only showing mid 30s MPG until I clicked that...
That looks pretty spot on from the range of people on here, some / many get mid to high 40's and 50's while others report mid 30's so just shows riding style has a huge difference. Interestingly many riders on here also report that loaded up with luggage and touring in Europe (Kent Massive excepted) they have had really good mileage even over mountains etc.
Nice link I have not really checked my MPG on a regular basis but have seen around 50MPG cruising when touring at over motorway speeds in Spain Not idea what MPG I get on track. Normally 1 tank will last me most of a day on track.
I log every mile I do with an app called Road Trip on my iPhone and have done so for the last 5yrs or so ... sad I know but I do a lot of mileage. Fireblade... 1,565 miles so far and have averaged - 46mpg R1 (2004)... 24,002 miles - 45.9mpg R1 (2002)... 18,388 miles - 49.7mpg Triumph Speed Triple... 175 miles (it's the Wifes) - 51.4mpg Yamaha Thundercat... 4,408 miles (did 54,000 miles on this bike) - 52.5mpg Given the R1's and the Fireblade are pushing more than 150bhp + ... they are pretty good on fuel.
Did the mayday run 3 years ago with a mate on his zx6.The traffic moved steadily but no high speed bursts because of cameras etc.We pulled into a layby and had a coffee near Hastings cos the traffic was getting horrendous.Whilst fiddling around with the clocks I noticed it read 72.4 mpg.We were gobsmacked.
