Looking great that mate!! You'll have to let us know how you get on with it, especially feed back on those forged wheels. What else did you get fitted over the standard sport supply? I'm in the same boat as you, fancy a change and you only live once. Been with my Blade since 09, love it to bits but fancy going all techy now. I know I'll be disappointed next year when I see the new Blade though. Here's what I fancy and hope to get to the launch tomorrow at BMW
Out of curiosity, I notice you had an 09 HRC exact same model as mine, did you chop it in against the beemer or sell it privately?
Nothing else fitted apart from the performance pack which gives you DTC, rider modes and cruise. There's a fair bit of kit that's standard on the sport version. The black looks stunning, I wasnt a fan when I saw pics but standing next to it I was torn between the 2 colours.
I traded it against the BM. I bought the blade for a v keen price and I had it 3 years, put 8k on it and dropped £900 so chuffed with that. I know it gets layed off against the new bike price and I'll take a dip on this one but I'm happy.
Not a bad way to spend £17+k lol Just bought performance bikes and they think its the best bike they've ever ridden. Looks mint man, and that auto blipper just rocks. Wish I had the green to get one. Hope the wait doesn't drag in for ya!
Thanks Dude, I really liked my blade and it did everything I wanted it to do but I wanted a change. Looking forward to getting out on it. When I swung my leg over the BM it near crippled me so I'll need to do some lunges and a few star jumps to limber up after 5 months off the bike lol. I can't make the launch tomorrow so I can't be all smug walking over to the bike with the sold sticker on it
I have no idea, the first time I noticed the difference between the 2 factory wheels was when I asked the salesman if the customer had deleted the red rim tape on his gloss wheels (standard wheels have this) It wasn't until he pointed out the difference that I realised the forged wheels were Matt black with larger spokes. Tbh the one thing that sold them to me was the right angled valves, I certainly would be a lot better off if I'd just bought a set of valves to put on the standard wheels lol Apparently they are the HP4 wheels
The front discs are different to the standard wheels too but I'm not sure if they are from the HP4 too?
Dif950, I didn't get to the launch today so going tomorrow now. They promised me bacon butties anyway so there's another incentive. Just asking, what swayed you with the performance package, you taking it to track with the riding mode with DTC. I can't decide on extras over what the standard sport comes with.
I went down and had another look today and I can't wait to get it! The bike I looked at during the week had been ordered by the dealership as full spec so it wasn't really a choice I had to make tbh and I'd have to wait to re order one without it. The performance pack was under £500 so I thought it was as well to have it as it will give a few extras including cruise to blast past my mates lol. There's only the pack and wheels as extras apart from the usual accessories.
May be joining you and also getting one. Will have a test ride and then decide. Was tempted by the HP4 carbon last year, this year your getting a better spec bike fir thousands cheaper!!! It's going to be an epic bike, enjoy
Thanks mate, I'm sure it will be good. It may seem odd to some people that I've bought it before riding but I've been looking at these for a while now so I'd made my mind up that I wanted it regardless. Woohoo!
