How are you getting on with the Gilles crash bungs Nutty?
Would you say they offer the same protection as the "normal" R&G posts?

Not fitted yet mate ... haven't had the time to work on the bike until yesterday . Completely stripped all the panels to begin the bling fest

There's more carbon along with the other stuff I posted about on a previous thread . I did a bit of weighing up comparison to get an idea
of what I will be saving this time and its adds up to another 4 kilos . I will have to put it on my scales when its done just to see .

I spent hours trying to fit the throttle cables for the Active fast action throttle .... but had to give up in the end as I couldn't get the lower cable out
of its fitting on the throttle body . I think I may have to remove the whole throttle body assembly to fit . Hope not as access is crap .
But I did get the Woodcraft clip-ons fitted with carbon bars I bought a while back . Next will be the levers and throttle to finish off that bit .

Then I will do the Gilles and let you know

Awesome mate! I was only talking about this today! I was sat there all warm and happy and excited, about a piece of metal on my lap. A brake lever, which is essentially a bar of metal, actually created happy feelings in me haha. It's almost sad, but it's not! I bet you're the same with all that sat on your kitchen table waiting to go on!!

Woodcraft clip ons are the best you can buy. Are they riser clip ons too?? I need to get myself some for this bike. Active QA's as well are fooking brilliant bits of kit! Hope it all goes together well. Enjoy it all!

Yur not wrong ... I have been waiting to fit some of this stuff for 4 months ... some a lot less .
One of the new parts came on Friday last week .
When the crappy winter weather got me down I would open all the boxes of bling and picture it in my mind all fitted and looking pretty .
Yup they are the riser ones ... they look good on there .

I ask because i want to get crash protection on, but I don't fancy drilling the fairing.
I have my 600 mile service coming up in a few weeks and asked Pidcock Honda to quote for supply and fit R&G aero bungs.
    They want £140.
the other option is to spend around £160 and get the powerbronze X-posts or the Gilles like yours.
At least with the second option they can be removed and sold when the bike goes.
I don't want to go for the "no drill" option if they are not as good as the R&G though.
