HISS & Key Issue / Advice

I took delivery of an RR5 model a couple of weeks ago. Went to fire it up yesterday using the spare key as it was more convenient to use at the time. The lights came on and the engine turned over fine but would not start and the FI light was on. After a bit of head scratching I decided to try the other key (main one). Bike fired up first time and no FI light> Is it possible to get the spare key recoded or is it goosed? Looks like it has very little or use at all. Also what would be the approx. cost for recoding or a replacement key??
