You keep telling yourself that mate The 'ORC' (Oulton Riders Club) is going to be competitive this year lol
Just rang no limits regarding garage they can't promise anything I will be there Tuesday night along with few other so will try and spread our wings but I guess just make sure you get there early on wed to get in garage it looks like it's pretty much full . Garage 23 for anyone that's not been before
Hope so matey, spose I won't know till I've circulated a few sessions. Not really the best time of year to be reacquainting myself with a big crash corner is it? It'll be more a Test Day for me after the rebuild. Bike is still away having the fairings fitted as the A16 stuff has turned into a nightmare purchase do to the amount of construction the tail section requires. Won't be buying their stuff again I can tell ya!
crashes can be funny things, theres times were it's taken me 3 or 4 days to get it out of my head, others (usually when you know the cause) next time out,or session after back on it. after my last little spill at Donny due to a lack of concentration+wet kerb,i got back out ok but missed every kerb (which meant every apex) by about 10 ft
Booked in this afternoon taking the 2nd to last place available, and the only group was Novice so me and Trigger will wobble around there. May even fit the mirror blanking plates and remove the mirrors for that 'Track day rider' look lol
I shall be happy keeping up the rear guard in the fast group for now till testing is finished and confidence is back to 100%, then when Summer kicks in Matt's avin it!
Forget those forecasts Barney mate, I've seen forecasts the night before at 5pm go Tits up by the morning!
I am seeing this as pretty much a 'start of bike season' get together with some mates, do 3 / 4 sessions for a bit of a blat and catch up - its as much fun in the garage at times with the banter as it is on track. Shame I'm in novice but perhaps I can move up on the day although I am sure I won't be the only one wanted to switch groups. I'll be a little light on the tools but am bringing biscuits so hope that's a fair trade if I need to use a spanner, my Aldi motorbike toolkit maybe fine of course to keep me going
Just for everyone's information Andrew will not be posting any more comments about this track day. I am unable to take the day off and I am getting quite p!ssy about it all. Thank you
You can still take part and be part of the action - bake some cakes / biscuits for Andy to bring along to keep us going (shall I run and hide now...)
