just had a look at the weather forecast for anyone attending this trackday. it looks at the moment that it is going to be dry, 4 degrees. see you there
I'm glad to see that. I've been avoiding the weather forecasts lol. What bike you on? I'll keep a look out.
It's been wet all day in Leicester tomorrow should be dryish though. Cloudy and 7C most of the day and luckily I'm booked on in the afternoon. I think I'll leave the Bridgestone S20's on. Can't wait to have a go at the race start!!
i bailed out today but watched for a couple hrs. all the groups went out for a couple of sessions each, and i did not see one flag, yellow or red. the first acu group went out and low and behold the first red flag on i believe what was still time behind instructors. it happened coming out of the bombhole coming on to the straight. it was a female, and it did,nt look very good for her. it was about 30 to 40 mins before they even got her in the ambulance. i went home after that, gettin a bit cold. i wish her all the best and best of luck to all the other acu guys and gals. Didn,t see james or his bike, although i think he was an afternoon acu
What a day! Shit weather, it was drizzling for most of the day and it was cold. I hate riding in the wet. I always come off, I was so nervous! Plus I hadn't ridden the bike after all the change. I got noise tested straight away and the tested asked me if the bike was running. 97db he measured well happy with that because I want to race at Mallory with EMRA. As racman has said above there was a big delay with a rider crashing and the air ambulance had to pick her up. Hope she's alright. Eventually went out at 15.40 and it was so slippy with the Bridgestone s20's and I was very slow. What made it worse was the guy in front lost the front at the hairpin and I thought I was going to run him over! Had my briefing and the instructor basically said he understood it had spooked me and the weather conditions but if I wanted to pass I had to pull my finger out. So pulled it out I did and maned up. Second session was a lot better and more confident. The best bit was the race start. That was a awesome!! The group infront of me messed it up. Some went, some stayed put. Don't know what was going on. My start was ok nothing special and I passed it! Im all good to start racing!
Yeah she crashed at the devils elbow. Don't know the details though. Just saw the ambulances on track for ages.
Let me know next time you're at Mallory and I'll book on. I was on the look out for a repsol but didn't see one! Was quite surprised at that.
