I got my GoPro hero 3 white off eBay brand new and have had no problems with it. Clarity of footage is excellent. If I were you I'd search for the best deal on eBay.

There are loads of GoClones appearing, and I think that is what forced / led GoPro to release the 'entry level' one at less than £100

The ones I have seen from China etc. at c.£50 look great and will prob. do 95% of what you want

That said the Hero Black is amazing, the wifi link to your phone great, the modes / 4k recording / time lapse and so many other things show where the money has gone.

Main challenge is the mounts, whatever you buy MAKE SURE it works with the GoPro mount bracket, and fit bracket to solid part of your bike, any wobble is magnified 100 times when you play back footage

Got a Gopro Hero 4 silver for Xmas after like others on here got the hitachi Action cam, good camera, until batteries run down quick, awkward to mount safely and no vibration and if at the rear the exhaust noise plays havoc with the picture too.
I found that it's false economy as bought twice now and lost some good footage abroad as found out at the end of a run/ride out that it never recorded !!!

You pay the money, you take your choice.

Do you use longer bolts to secure it too the cap ? Neat idea if your not a mad go pro/hd video hero and just want the occassional video of a ride or two. Does is also show the clocks when riding.

Yep, the 3 that you can see sticking out around the fuel cap, which come with it :)

You can adjust the angle so film the clocks, or with using a regular camcorder you can zoom passed the clocks if you felt the need to ;)

I bought one from Argos last year loads of us on here got them, reduced from 120quid to 60, looks like the go pro, has waterproof case, chest harness and other mounts etc. I never used mine apart from a quick test in the garden and the quality was actually really good!
Yours for 50 quid posted if your interested

I have the SJ1000. Was about 40 pounds from Hong Kong. Picture quality is every bit as good as the earlier GO PRO models. Mine also survive flying off the bike at over 100mph and still works perfectly.
