Where are people buying from? I need a few for the blade as some of the quality of the fasteners are appalling!
Depends on how much you want to spend. if you have the cash go for titanium all day long. Local to me are Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminium Fasteners & Motorcycle Bolts | ProBolt but i've not used them myself YET. But heard good things about them, you could give one of our traders a shout and see if they can do you a deal
I use these competition fastners and also a seller called titanclassics on ebay Titanium Fasteners for motorsports and competition requirements. titanclassics on eBay
Biggest problem I'm having is finding out the sizes of the bolts I need ... Only Pro-Bolt show the bolts I want but obviously don't show the sizes ... I'm after the following: Front fork pinch bolts Front caliper bolts Rear caliper bolts Rear axle nut I'm also after a few domed Allen bolts for mudguard, etc ...
I recommend www.racebolt,co.uk they used to make the Pro-bolt kit but they are now cheaper. All my latest Titanium is Racebolt
Get your self a screw pitch gauge and a cheap vernier and measure them all yourself and save a fortune from not buying at pro-bolt, search ebay as alot of the seller's state the diameter, pitch and length then have a look around
Nobody know the sizes then to save me the leg work? Rear caliper bolt looks an odd one so will prob have to pro bolt that ... Rest should be easy to sort.
I've found this guy good and very reasonable as i bought loads of Ti last few weeks ! Titanium Fasteners for motorsports and competition requirements. Just noticed someones already stuck that up...
Best thing to do is get yourself a digital vernier, remove bolts and measure. Make a list and look on line for said items.
If you select Racebolt shop on their website then motorcycle kits then bike of choice they have exactly the ones you want (except axle nuts).
If you hang tight until tomorrow mate, i'll go and measure mine for you (the bolts) ! I can't go back down there now as I've spent 6 hours cleaning the cave out and I've banned myself from it for the evening or i'll end up bleeding brakes all night...
Plus you'll be wanting a Gilles axel nut as they are stupidly sexy, and you don't need to know the size for that. Just go on demon tweeks and specify your bike and boom, lovely big nut !
If you can hang fire, I will be removing my stock rear brake and underslung bracket I have all the Titanium fitted.
Pro bolt all the way, they have plenty on ebay, there websites jampacked. oh and go titanium everytime
Thank you sir! That would be a massive help! The main things are: Front fork pinch bolts Rear caliper bolts But anything on front forks and swing arm be useful to know.
