it happens unfortunatley,i've lost the front once or twice, but thankfully never taken anyone out.i've been taken out though,it's not nice, but it's the risk you take.one reason why i wont "borrow" a bike on track as it's just not worth the risk. hopefully damage isn't too bad,but i would have at least expected an apology from the guy.(which i'm assuming you didnt?)
No apology, he vanished from the medical centre. Could post it on nolimits fb page to ask him to get in touch but probably no point
Some great pics there and looked a good day apart from the damp track and the unavoidable spill, hope the repair bill is not too much.
Matt don't be down at all about that you are doing it the right way I felt alien back on my blade and took all day in good conditions to start getting on with it REARSETS too high clip ons to in etc etc . Yeah I did crash but that was a silly mistake not pushing beyond my limits and crashing . You have a full season ahead of you have great times I also hate the wet and sketchy conditions I just tense up and can't relax which causes more mistakes ..... Your 2nd track day well 1 and half your doing well mate keep it up .
Aw that's just wrong place wrong time nowt you could do about that mate just bad luck hope you feeling ok today
More like the perfect line to T-Bone the rider in front so grabbed a load of front brake and washed out resulting in Al getting collected. Should at least have had the decency to find Al and apologise though.
And here is my rundown. Turned up Tuesday night Got Very Cold Got very little sleep Got excited Got 1 sighting lap in...then Realised I was riding a CRAB Got my support truck from blackpool to bring me spare parts Got back out for 1 lap and it rides like a pogo stick Got adjustments made after a call to a friend who knows a little about suspension. Got 3 more laps in Loaded bike and went Home! on a serious note thou, New bike 4 days old, set up all wrong, Possible buckled wheel, self inflicted poor mechanical skills and a heavy right hand meant I spent all days on spanners rather than track but a great testing Day and I now know most of it's gremlins so for £49 it was well worth it and of course a great garage to be in with the lads and marions cakes were delicious. think I've been eating too many cakes thou...those leathers were TIGHT!! Special thanks go to Andy who was a legend and as always..always happy to help. thanks mate. so onwards to a good friend of mine who will fettle it a little and see you back out there soon, hopefully for more than 5 laps.
Looks and sounds as though everybody had a grand day out. Gutted to see that Al had an altercation with another bike, does kind of spoil the fun. Matt's write up was good, hang in there and don't beat yourself up about times. It will all come with time, just enjoy it and try to take away loads of information from the day to work on for the next time. And just remember, that racing itself is the single best thing you can ever do.
Scooby could you sense of this for me as I'm a little lost, according to this data which was my fastest lap???
