I recently fitted HIDs to both light units and I took before and after photos to try and show the difference in what you can see. I didn't get the zoom quite right to make them exactly the same, and the bike was a bit vibey tonight and on paddock stands which made the photos a little blurred and higher, but hopefully it is enough for people to judge the difference.

haha will do.. thought it was bit arty! I've sent off details of my bike to fast bikes as well but I doubt it will ever get a feature.. too many fireblades I guess..

Cheers for the time and effort to post up.

    What make are they?

Do you have to cut the wiring?

Also, does the light lens get hot and chance of melting ?

    Cheers

I used these ones as Gilesy had used them without issue. One thing I would do different is to get the H7R version as it is meant for use with original reflectors. No need to cut wires etc but I am extending some of the wires with the kit to help hide it away and the connection to the original loom is a bit basic and so I have have bought some plugs to fit to the new kit.

Not checked the heat but as others have used them without issue I don't forsee any problems, especially as the fit into the original headlight unit.

They run cooler than halogen bulbs as are more efficient, more of the power goes in to making light and not heat :)

Nice pics! does show the difference. Never used on any of my bikes due to amount of kit to fit. Where are you putting the ballast unit?

    .

Looking very impressive mate but it looks like the dip might be a bit of a 'dazzler' for oncoming traffic and they'll soon let you know about it. I too fitted an H7R bulb (they're have a sort of shroud in them) in the dip side to cut down on the dazzle and it gave a pattern just like the OEM bulb. You only need fit one in the dip because the reflectors are different.

    Nick.
