Getting em out is the easy bit just push the clips in and lever out with a bolt in the end with mole grips.Getting em back in with lots of lube is the ball ache.

Attacked mine today chaps !! Found a "plan B" method ! Mine didn't want to pull out, so i just put the bolt in a few threads, twatted the gubbins further into the clip on, took the bolt back out and, bobs your uncle, loads of room to install the new bar ends or lever guards !!

Would have been all over the guards if it wasn't for having to take the weight out..... Not because it's a ball ache (did it before and it really isn't) but because I didn't wanna get vibes. Tingly hands became a problem when I took them off on my previous cbr. So have to pass on the guards unless they make one that retains the weight.

Hence use my method and whack them in there deeper instead of doing away with them and keep the properties of their rubbery weight in there ! See, I'm not just a pretty helmet ya know ;)

I agree. Was gonna wait to hear your feedback first. And besides is it your or gilesy who might be selling to get carbon instead?! I'd be up to buy those. Think the Oberon ones are awesome. Let me know if you sell.

    Blackness,

Did you actually push the inner weight inside the tube to fit the guards? I did try to take them out but it is a mother! I never though to push them in which helps to avoid vibrations!! If on the other hand you do manage to take them out, how do you solve the vibrations?

Hello mate. Nope, just tapped them further in down the bars so the gubbins all stayed in there and stopped the vibrations. I actually then lost one of the new bar weights on one side whilst riding, so wound a long bolt back into the thing, pulled it back down and put the old bar weights back on ! Keep em in there i say !
