I was putting the bike up on the rear paddock to finish some jobs and wasn't happy with the seating on the paddock stand forks so I put the bike back down to get the stand into a better position and it started to overbalance to the right. I managed to get round the side but not quite quick enough. Fortunately it fell against the garage wall and the right mirror took the brunt of it, snapping in the process. Apart from a very small graze on the nose fairing that's the only damage. Very very lucky boy New mirror and a bit of polish and we're good.
Been there done that but managed to dive round and get my belly in between the wall and the bike giving it enough padding to just end up with a cracked screen
Sounds pretty much like a carbon copy of what happened to me. I was lucky that nothing got seriously broken.
I reckon it looked like one of those slow mo dives you see in the movies to take a bullet for the president
Feel your pain. Did that twice when taking my first 600F off the centre stand. Similar damage as well.
I've had that happen to me tried to save it by grabbing the number plate just ended up with a snapped number plate and the bike still hit the garage wall
And thats the reason I put a grab rail on..hope you get the bike sorted or wake up from your nightmare
So sorry to hear of your mishap, I've done the same before when using a paddock stand. So....... I bit the bullet and bought the ABBA Stand. http://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail.asp?item=superbike-stand&pid=1 It really is worth it. Glad there's not too much damage, but I know how pissed of it makes you feel.
