Most of the WSB teams are using T-Drives this year .

Well it looks like the thread has gone a stray i got my 5mm spacers back today, drilled the disc holes and fitted them. calipers fit straight on, everything bolted up as it should be. An 8mm spacer was made for the front mud guard bolt, just need a test ride :)

Very interesting indeed, let us know if it rides better as I know the original 04-07 forks are known as not the best! Also means the later ohlins are also now an option :)

well lads, done about 40 miles on her, I'm not just saying it because ive done it but the bike is so much better and the forks havent been set up yet, the old forks made the front end twitchy and it didn't like slow corners or changing direction, I tried loads of different setting but could never get it right, I did post a thread ages ago about 06 and shite handling.
Riding to the road conditions but not been to shy today the bike is just rolling in to corners and seems quite eager to change direction, it also seemed nice on the brakes, just more settled so up to now very happy and well worth it. Looks quite sexy to !

    I paid
    £450 for the forks,
£50 for ti probolts for the discs,
    £10 for 2 150x150mm x5mm alloy sheets
£10 spindle spacers to be made
£3.50 for the new 18mm wheel bolt
A friend made my alloy spacers.

I would like to thank Arthurbikemad, he's a cracking guy and very helpful, cheers buddy.

I hope this has been helpful.

nice one.. you just need to "sell" the spacers now for the rest of us '06-ers to save us reinventing the wheel :p

I do have 2 steel spindle spacers spare, for some reason they made 2 sets of them but not the one that extends the spindle.

Saying that, I have changed my rear shock as well.
I found the setting on the old forks very sensertive, eighths of a turn made a big difference but never right.

Today, I put the standard settings in forks, looks like the previous owner had been playing, I took her for a blast and it felt good so I decided to drop you yokes 4mm, its made the turning so much sharper but its trying to shake its head but I can live with that, I might lift them 2mm and see what happens.
I was 50/50 before thinking i should sell her, glad i didnt :)
