Do any forum members run a 7x5 number plate,or is it just inviting police attention.what with my playground being the Yorkshire dales..
There was similar thread few weeks ago and I think general concensus was if you unfortunate enough to get stopped or be seen you will probably get a ticket
As per Lozzy's above comment. Although I have run 1" smaller then legal for years without any issues, just lucky I guess.
Yep my plates slightly smaller and also got my name on it but it's 'not in your face' and I think that's the issue with the letterbox style. I've been stopped and also had bobbies round my bike at bike safe and stuff and never had issue but seen tickets issued every time for much smaller ones!
I've run a 7x5 for years now and never been pulled with it.. think they would have to be having a bad day to have a go at you..
Oops just realised mines 5 x7 was thinking it was letterbox one doh! Not like us women to get inches confused
Same same, I've always run 7x5's. Ive got a 8x3 on at the moment and theres and 8x2 i got for even naughtier days on stand by
As usual you have to be different.. Everyone else has a 7x5, but oh no, not you... You've gone with "5x7" haha
Used a 7x5 for years with no problems and been stopped by police and not mentioned it, new rear set up will be an 8x6
7 x 5 on mine as well, no hassle but I have made sure the letters and numbers are the correct size...
I ran 7X5 for a few years and never had a issue. But after lots of lots of people getting pulled last year when to the old NO plate
Worst that can happen is that DVLA take your plate off you and make you run with a Q plate. Also the maximum fine is £1,000. https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/overview
