Mine was on my cbr600fv during a trackday at cadwell.

In the second session the spark plug on cylinder 2 popped out and stripped the threads.

I ended up having to buy another motor off ebay as the cost of a gasket set was extortionate lol. Plus the engine had other probs like using oil (valve stem oil seals)

Here are some pics of that painfull experiance lol.

Took me 2 days and lots of swearing and cut/bashed fingers to do it lol.

My worst mechanical mishap was when my mate dropped his oil in front of me causing me to come off

It was painfull but so satisfying once I had heard her start and run again. It allways a tense moment when your starting up a bike after you have done some work on it but an unkown engine out of a crashed bike is a whole different story, tense isn't the correct word lol.

I dont want to do it again thats for sure lol.

Tony, shut your eyes, non CBR moment here.

2007 ZX10R Racebike, was dads at the time shortly after i agreed to buy it after that round.

8 lap race, lap 6 the output shaft bearing decided to take a dump in the gearbox & the bottom end.

Amazingly, the motor still ran, just sounded like a bucket of bolts, when it went on JT's dyno to see if it was terminal it didnt even have the gutso to move the dyno...lol

Definatly ouch, bet that was a new motor job lol.

My motor is fixable. I swapped the motor with a mate for a Knox back protector As he is good with things like that, later I sold him the rest of the bike for £800.

I took the sump & sump filter out, big chunks of metal & bearings.

Surprisingly we got away with it a little, it hadnt scored the crankcases, in the end it had new output shaft bearing, gearbox, shells, and we replaced the piston rings, valve stm seals, skimmed the head & fitted a kit gasket whilst it was out, few other little bits & bobs but she ran fine after that. 188bhp on 2 different dynos lol

Blown a few motocross bikes up but had nothing major on my road bikes

Hole in the headers on my first 600f

Warped disc on my second 600f

Wrecked the top steering head bearing on my 600rr from wheeling

    Thats about it

Not mechanical But I hate to admit I broke my blade the first day I had it and still pissed now

I was adding the few mods I bought with the bike. adding the new screen. I did ans it said in the manual, unscrewed the mirrors to add the screen. used a bit too much force removing the original screen and cracked the fairing between the mirror and edge of the fairing :( well pissed off. don't really noticed it but the fact I broke something on my new blade was not fun

other than dropping my Fazer on Oil and when a guy did a U turn in front of me. both in 8 days in Jan 08 nothing has happened to my bikes. Touch wood

Buggered the crank on my 1380cc Bandit cos some nob used gasket sealer
rather than a new gasket when I had my Stack dash fitted. They used so much
that it migrated to the oil pickup and blocked the strainer. They denied it of course
