Easytrack have pulled a blinder...... Remember how we thought it was going to be a friday or monday because of race meetings... Well ours is a monday..... A Bank Holiday Monday Bank Holiday Monday, April 9th, 2012......Venue....Cadwell Park. Basically it came down to 2 things. Price & Venue Facilities. Donington are not allowing overnight staying Mallory couldnt offer any decent dates Its super rare to get a bank holiday date offered, especially at this time, But Jo @ Easytrack has got us a minty date. I understand if some folk cant/wont travel to cadwell, but with it being a bank holiday it should make thinks easier for everyone. Price TBC within the next 48hrs So, who's in?
My track bike is not a blade, can I still go? also bring a mate who also does not have a blade. My Repsol is to shiny and new to risk it, as is his KTM RC8
Just to point something out, in the end i didnt just try for easytrack, i spoke to a couple of others also, however this is the dilemma i faced... Mallory has NO further dates whatsoever available yet, and cant do midweek (they do acu work midweek) fridays are the new chris walker race school and dont do mondays, donington was going to be around 170 quid per person, and they are not allowing on site camping from january 1st 2012, tried oulton, but they spun us off, we even tried anglesey, but thats the end of the earth. Given that cadwell is A. cheap B. ok with camping C. the only one with a suitable day I cant really say owt else? Apologies for anyone that feels hard done to, but i had to balance everything out, and if its not good enough, i wont be offended if anyone else wants to have a crack at organising it.
Thruxton have had, iirc, 1 bike trackday in 6 or 7 years, and that was last year, and wont happen again, its the same as croft in that noise regs get in the way. Which is unfortunate as id love to do thrux, been there many a time.
Im in but its a long long trek might have to bring my mate with me to save on transport costs, if thats ok he has a track R1 *****Sorry 2 mates now one on R1 other on a ZX-10r******
Are they going to throw in an evening session like they did when I went to cadwell this year, got 2-3 sessions in and it is great to get to know the track etc ??? Just to add Cadwel is awesome good choice
I am in! I thought this was going to be a blade only event? (that was why I thought the mags might like it) If its open to all I can get some more for sure.
It will mainly be a blade event, but theres no way in gods green earth we will fill 90-110 places for an april td on our own. The magazines do know, and will come anyway, i reckon we will get between 60-70 blades in total, more than enough to class it as a blade day.
Im hoping to be in for this. Not sure if it will be on my Track Kwak or my outdated shitter of a Blade. Havent been to Cadwell for a bit so would be good.
