Anyone running one on a 08-11 blade?

Apparently there is a mod that can be done to them? Anyone know anything about it?

Just picked up a mint 6k mile unit for next to nothing ... :)

I have this shock on my 09 blade. I had to cut a slit out of my hugger to fit it.

Correct ... It's called a twin tube / or balance free shock which is how it differs from the earlier model.

Either way it cost me sod all :)

Yes don't bother..... Get a proper shock that works.
I am not being derogatory in any way but I ran a balance free shock on my 09 blade and yes it was better than the original shock but not by a lot.
I now have a 2012 version with this fitted as standard and spoke to many suspension experts about what can be done with this shock, not a lot really as the springs are too bloody hard and only two people make them and they cost a hundred pounds, so by the time you have raffled around rebuilding it with parts and labour costs and a new spring you would be better off buying a good used oh lions unit

Yes save your money and wait until a good shock comes up, this will transform your bike.

I sent mine for a re valve to Ktech......along with fresh serviced 2012 forks all fitted to my 08 trackbike.......transformed handling yes there is better bling but IMO a good upgrade from standard with blowing major bucks !!
