Ok so I have my new FGRT 813 forks and currently I'm shopping for an Ohlins shock (either TTX 36 mk2 or TTX GP).

Does anyone know of any suppliers who are competitively priced? I am happy to buy from abroad and I have been in touch with Dan Kyle, Omnia Racing and a few UK suppliers, and I can get either of the above shocks for circa £1000 - this includes shipping and import tax where necessary.

Does anyone have any suppliers they think I should try for a competitive price?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dan Kyle USA mate. Even with taxes and postage (which is quicker than buying in UK go figure) it's still a good couple of hundred quid cheaper.

Colin, if you don't mind me asking, how much were your taxes (assuming you had a shock sent to you from Dan?)

I've looked into it, and for a TTX GP mk2 from Dan (which is $1299) it would be $90 to post it, and on the import tax calculator I have worked out to about an extra £179 GBP. All in it works out to about £1106.

The same shock at Omnia Racing in Italy is €1364 = £1003

So either Omnia Racing are doing a very good price, or my import tax calculations are wrong!?

You won't pay import tax from Italy as in the Eu , kyle racing does some good deals depends what value he puts on invoice to how much import duty you pay! Both colin and I got good deals from Dan kyle

Yep, I only worked out import tax for stuff from USA, not the Italian stuff.

I actually asked Dan if he'd put a lesser amount on the invoice for that exact reason and he said he wouldn't (?)

Guess he's cottoned on to what's we've been doing and don't want to risk it anymore! He's still cheaper than most with import duty though

Maybe. Shame though, because his prices are definitely cheaper... but the import costs align him to other well priced european suppliers now.
