Like many, I would love one of the new SP type seat cowls over the regular seat cowl, I think it looks so much better but I just can't justify paying almost £200 for something thats purely cosmetic. I have had a good look on eBay and cannot find any aftermarket replicas which I thought was a little odd, there are plenty of replicas from China for the standard cowl. Has anyone seen any good SP copies? If so where?

Not seen any copies yet! I was lucky and found a used one but it's just a case of saving a search on ebay and other places and seeing what comes up

You'll pay almost £200 for the genuine Honda seat cowl , so it's only marginally dearer for the SP one.

True. But I guess that's kinda my point. You can by copies of the regular cowl on eBay for around £20. Sure, some will say the fit and finish isn't as good but I am willing to live with that as I can add some rubber around the bottom if the fit isn't quite there, and, I am planning a race replica respray at some point so the colour match isn't important to me. Although a lot of folk do say the replicas are actually pretty good fit and quality. My issue is that I cannot seem to find any SP cowl replicas anywhere.

Problem is that the sp is a limited run production wise so not many around and many probably are ridden so hence not many second hand ones around

I've had both and there isn't any real difference between the 2. If you wait a bit I dare say the Chinese will have them up for sale soon enough.

To be honest I don't like the look of them prefer the ordinary cowl looks much sleeker
