The zip has given up the ghost on my 1 piece leathers, can these easily be repaired/replaced? Guess it's a specialist job really ?
The zip itself or the puller? You can get things to fit to the puller if that is all that is wrong, but if it is the actual zip you will need to talk to someone who can fix leathers.
I had the calf zip replaced on my old one piece this week. My mam did it (she is a seamstress and alters clothes for a living). She doesn't usually do a lot of leather stuff as it can break the plate on the machine as it's not really the correct machine for the job. I was quoted £22 at the local bike leather repairers in the market but they were off on holiday so my mam sorted it! Just check your local listings online.
Cobblers What i mean is there's a cobblers near me in Lincoln who replaced the 360 degree zip in my textiles. They wern't cheap, but saved me sending stuff off when I could drop it off myself. http://www.192.com/atoz/business/li.../a34387186d68b93590602dbd35295bffb1b4d663/ml/
Thanks mate. A few other people have suggested him as am I'm not far away I'll give him a call in Monday, hopefully he'll sort me out, can you remember how long the turnaround time was ?
Got quoted £60 recently to replace zip on my Wolf leathers. Top zip works ok, but bottom zip won't pull up, bit of a job to do a pee, but for £60 will put up with it
