Yesterday - adjusted the chain, gave it all a good clean then re-waxed it with Meguiars Mirror Glaze wax.

Productive Saturday for me. Fitted my Carbon Akra and Leo Vince infill panel to replace the stock exhaust system. So far so good. Doesn't hunt at idle and sounds sweet as even with the baffle still inserted. Well pleased with the looks too. image1.JPG

Finally got out for a proper ride on Saturday, after completing the winter mods (rear pegs removal, Evotech radiator guard, gear indicator, oil change & air filter) and getting her MOT'd. Went for a good run to Crossgates Cafe - 200 mile round trip along some great roads :)

    Came back with plenty of Welsh flies :D 20150418_144444_HDR~2.jpg 20150418_144456_HDR~2.jpg 20150418_144516_HDR~2.jpg 20150418_203543_HDR~2.jpg

Interesting, I have been thinking about doing the same with the rear pegs but disappointed at lack of ABS model 'street hooks' available, which ones have you used because they look good.

I took a punt on the webike ones from Japan (http://japan.webike.net/products/3458122.html). They cost £48 including shipping and customs charges. Wasn't sure at the time if they'd fit the ABS blade. They fit OK, but I doubt you'd get the rear right peg on to the hook 'cos of the ABS gubbins that side. I ain't that bothered as I will most likely use them more as a tie-down point for rear luggage, rather than for the rear pegs anyway.

If it's quick fitting of the rear pegs you're looking for I reckon the only ones in town are the Sato ABS ones - but they are £130 :(

Finally installed my HM GP Quickshifter. Updated the bios and used 2014 HMRacing config file they shared. The Shift rod fouls the frame so not quite ready to use though

What rearsets you running Si? Might need another spacer to push the gear lever out a little

Its the gilles FX rearsets. Yes It could do with being pushed out from the spindle end rather than lever. The carbon fibre shift rod is 12mm thick and fouling the frame. Just ordered one from HM Racing thats 9.9mm miight just be enought to sort it out.

Sorry guys but my road bike is a SP2. Out for the first time this year to see how it goes after the mini service, clean and the quick remove axle mod and to see how my arm is after my op. A couple of the local guys had told me that the local council Argyll had been out to repair the pot holes on the Green Kettle road to Arrochar; feck me I nearly dropped it just turning out my road onto Whistlefield as every hole over 25mm deep has been wet tarred then liteally cover in chips and its that way for 10miles. A truely fun but difficult road has been made lethal in the name of safety. Anyways carried onto Inverary then thru Dalmally onto the green wellie, not a soul out bar 1 guy I know from Knockhill well the bizzies were out but I paased then on the curves going the opposite way and when I rolled off and loked down I was showing 81 they were probably ending there shift. Stopped had a can and a chat then headed back the same way as i came. The sun was in my eyes so a bit scary at a few bends but once the sun was behind the mountains it was great. Stopped at Inverary to ease my arm that was aching then set off down an empty road. I do try to keep below 3 figures but but failed on the way back always tho scouring every lay bye. Had a great return trip till I hit the washboard and my heart was in my mouth all the way more so when the red haze took over approaching a Porsche but all ends well. Arm aching so probably just as well i didnt try and race last week end and surprisingly cold when the sun goes down. image.jpg

Did the commute to work. Bit misty at times on the way in but more than made up for it on the way home. Lots of sun, good views and slow cars in the mirrors :D
