Bloody hell Matt you're supposed to keep the rubber bits on the Tarmac Glad you're ok and a very decent time toox
Your going well mate crashing is all part of it the faster you get the important part your ok I know fixing the bike costs money but believe me it's no where near as bad as the inconvenience of breaking bones I know you will dust yourself off and get right back on it .
Good time buddy and sorry about the offs part of learning . Bet that zx is as beat up as my blade now ha ha keep at it bud
Thanks everyone, scooby my lesson with Mike is next month mate. Couple of pictures of the bike, i actually have it caught on camera, just need to workout how to get it onto utube whatever its called. I have a real stinging headache and my neck feels like someones tried to break it but as Jase says I'm so happy not to have broken anything... The bike
Thought you said it was bad!? Plastics and gravel rash is a taker mate. Glad your ok buddy, that's the main thing. Chasing lap times is an expensive hobby IMHO if your doing 1.44's at donny on a track day.... Forget about times mate, your going really well.... Wait until you race and when it matters. I'd use the timer as nothing more than a guide to new things you try on the bike.... Measure how your doing against guys your lining up on the grid with
Ah thats sweet Matt thought it was snapped subframes etc bit of patching will all be good . If you headache neck continues get it checked bud just piece of mind . Do you have frame protectors can't tell ? keeps the gravel rash off buddy
I thought you were going say you were at oulton when you said 1.44.lol. Glad your ok! Ready for donny next month then?
how did you crash there?? did someone spook you on the inside or just a brain fart mate? looks like you forgot to go round the corner?
I know, strange isn't it, like i forgot to turn.. If you listen you can hear on previous laps that at that point i change gear to 5th, i remember changing to 5th just as i was about to lean over and the back wheel wobbled just like the guy's in front at exactly the same point and it caused me to sit up for like 1000th of a second which was all it took to realise its to late to turn. Reason is to turn regardless of what the back wheel does or anything else for that matter.. Whats really bad when you watch yourself back is how many apex's I'm missing
5th up there out of that corner? think from memory i'm 3rd flat out, 4th as i'm through the left then drop down to 3rd again round the double right hander.... haha - apex's always look further off on cam imo... but they will come with being smother and laps.... hence not chasing lap times, working on lines, then looking at your timer at the end of the day to see the difference (which you will)... as chasing times adds pressure to your riding! one day i'll practice what I preach! ha ha
Agree with Jimbo there that's a 3rd gear corner that not 5th maybe that's why you went wide as no traction at the back wheel .Hardly a crash just a little bit of gravel diving but least your ok as I keep saying to Jimbo it's not a proper crash unless it's flipped .
Lmao, i just realised you two have my saying in your signatures, i have copy rights on that and you both owe me 11p Im sure watching the video back the bike flips a little at the end, or is that classed as a roll?? What you can't see in the photos is the inside and lower part of the Akro exhaust is all crushed and if duct tape doesn't work then its a new can also some of the front frame is twisted... Taking it round for Andy to have a look at as I'm back at Donny on Tuesday and i need to beat a 1:44
Ha - I forgot about that lol. Front frame is twisted? Where exactly?? Photos of ya lap timer or it doesn't count!
