I've been trying not not much available yet ha.. It doesn't need much really but some carbon would be cool

Daz my pal has got a new r1 and they are having trouble with rear shock leaking,I think they are recalling them already ,gave u heard anything
R1M has been recalled in Canada and Australia problem with front forks. http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle...m-recalled-in-canada-and-australia/26586.html Not heard anything in UK.
Oh dear that's not great. I've not heard owt but I don't have Ohlins on mine ( yet ha) sure the bike will be spot on. She's ready yomoz
Just checked Yams service portal nothing on it will keep an eye on it and give you a shout if I hear anything.
To be honest it doesn't surprise me especially with a bike this advanced, there's bound to be a recall or two. One interesting point, no sump plug washers available till mid May and it's unique to this model Yam are trying to air freight some in.
I did look at the new rsv4 . It was 3k dearer but with Ohlins forks , Ohlins dhick and brembos It seemed the right money. It was the electronics that persuaded me to the R1. Hope I've made the right choice .. The Aprilla is bloody stunning isn't it
As the r1? Or R1M as that's what a fair comparison should be based on? Tbh... If you was going to track or race one the R1M seems good value for money imo as don't need to spend loads on.
Well I've done 150 miles now.. So far it's phenominal . Power delivery is . The engine is very deceiving . Feels like your not moving but your going silly cruising. When you open it up it's something else. Feels planted, smooth, extremely torquey and sounds like the m1 when above 8000 rpm. The electronics are spot on. Lots to play with on the dash. I've messed about with it today and got it somewhere like Qs is smooth with no lag or lurch. It likes to be used higher in the revs tho so defo more track focused Brakes are tight and the abs is brill. Much better than hondas. Tried an emergency stop and yeah we stopped Not found anything negative yet other than a bit of play in The throttle. Not sure how to alter it as its fly by wire Didn't realise it had ti hesders. Got the ti akro snd ordered the ti link pipe but I'll fit after the first service as it wants a dyno run so I'm sure it will sound even better Yec ecu is very trick. It remembers all your settings and stores it. Always data from track csn be sent to Ipad etc. Otdered s seat cowl to give it the m1 look and took the foot pegs off. Amazing machine and I'm so so glad I made the change after selling my 2 blades. The goal posts have been moved. This is without a shadow of a doubt a game changer . I'm not going to be upgrading suspension etc as the way things stand I'm gonna order the r1m. This is an exquisite piece of engineering and if your lucky enough to own one or have s go on one do it. Life's for living Can't wait to get it on track
I don't think there Ms any demos Martin. I bought mine on a whim. Never bought one without riding it but dare I say up to press possibly the finest thing I've had the pleasure of riding. It will take some topping. The Bm seems very very similar and I like the auto blip and down shifter which the r1 doesn't have. Sure there will be an upgrade lol
