I've been speaking to Richard at Dynojet recently, and apparently the map on their website for '12/'13 plate bikes and the Yoshi R77 (M16-034-006) is for US bikes. They have not yet got a map for a European bike with the R77, so I will be making the trip up there this time next month for a custom map to be created which can then be shared with the world... I was wondering if anyone else out there has the same model year as mine, the Yoshi and a PCV, and what you are running?
I'm off to see Richard next Thursday... RR-A with Yoshi R77. I'm currently using the 2009 base map from Dynojet which seems the best one yet for my bike.
Do you know what the map number is? As I'll have a look and see how it compares to the one I am running using some Excel wizardry...
Have had a look and put both in excel - there are some reasonably significant differences between the map I am running and the one you have OCD... (not that I really know what I am talking about here, but it is interesting/geeky all the same!) The colours on the below represent how much richer (red) or leaner (blue) your map is vs. the one I am running: Richard has been back in touch with me again... for the time being he has recommended I try M16-034-502, which in the PCV notes comes up as: 2012 Honda CBR1000RR European model Arrow full competition exhaust - Trophy end can - no baffle Stock or aftermarket airfilter
Interesting indeed ... Fancy sending me the excel file to play with? I've got a few maps and wouldn't mind being able to see the difference between them ... It can help improve your understanding for sure. I ran the motrac map for a while after recommendations from a few people on here ... I found it snatchy at low rpm and the bike felt 'harsh' ... On the motrac map the fueling was leaned off in this area compared to the base map which verifies what I was feeling ... So running them a little rich low down is a good idea from a smoothness point of view ... I've also looked at the custom map I had done by Richard on a stock exhaust and he has added a LOT of fuel low down ... Which again verifies what I initially thought about these bikes. They run very lean low down for emissions control and hence the poor fueling.

Just purchased a r77 myself and very confused to which map to use. From what I see there are these maps available from DJ for the euro model M16-002-514.pvm M16-002-507.pvm M16-002-508.pvm M16-002-504.pvm I’ve stuck them into a spreadsheet and they all roughly follow the same pattern. In addition I’ve also been kindly provided with a Motrac one too but it is almost scarily leaner than the DJ ones especially at lower tps. They do come together a bit as the TPS% rises See a graphical comparison 20% tps 60% tps 100%tps anyone got any recommendations or more maps to compare? Cheers in advance
M16-002-507 should be the right map for the R77 with the baffle in, and M16-002-508 without the baffle.
The 504 map is the one I used... and it's not bad. If you send me your email address I will send over my custom map from FW Developments.
Actually, I see your confusion now as there are about 5 maps available for your model year and the Yoshi! I'd listen to Mr OCD as he has the closest map for you I think, and his FW Developments one worked well for me too despite mine being a RR-D
Thanks both for your help, Mr OCD pinged you my email much appreciated. Quite confused why the Motrac map would be so lean, I would imagine that would be quite snatchy on most bikes. My next consideration is whether to weld on a boss for my Autotune......
I wouldn't have thought so, but there are differences between the standard Dynojet maps for 2008-2011 and 2012+ bikes, so presumably they do...
And to answer my own question, here is the comparison between 2009 and 2012 base maps from Dynojet. Red indicates that the 2009 map is richer, blue the 2009 map is leaner. Some pretty significant changes as you'll see! This is comparing M16-002-501 ("Map 1") and M16-034-501 ("Map 2") in case you were interested...
I've just put a Autotune on my rr9, got a Yoshimura R77 with baffle in. Had mapped my bike on a friends car rolling road with a large single roller. Was a bit hairy as we had tied it down with ratchet straps, no front wheel chock . Had it flat out in 6th, 180mph. Done a few miles last night to check the fuelling and was out in a few places and going to map it for each gear too. Looking to get a DJ Pod-300 so I can see what throttle postion, rpm and how the fuelling looks then can see it in the DJ PowerCore software then. Have to be careful as it does show up some odd figures when in the lower rpm/throttle openings as getting air reversal and showing lean.
