Pirelli Rosso Corsa is a really good all round tyre. With good wear rates. If your a track day newbie they will be more than good enough as long as you give them a couple or 3 laps to heat up. I have them on my RR 8 and they feel good.

We recently changed from Michelin Power cups to Metzlers for racing. I've only used the racetechs so far and they last far longer, wear far better and give oodles of grip. I've got a set of Metzler Slicks coming for the 6hr endurance at Snet in 2 weeks.

I'm running sp's at the moment but am going to try racetecs on a 55 rear mainly due to cost.

Maybe I got the question wrong but as far as I know:

“You can’t transfer an old donkey to a racehorse not even when using stainless steel hooves”

We are talking about a 10 year old Honda and I don’t think you can compare a new BMW S1000RR with a RR5 at all, can you?

Basically we have to talk about how to improve the RR5 and the best answer should or could give the RR5 Owners.
