Had an idiot in a van almost cause a head-on collision today whilst out in the car and then did a suicidal overtake near a bend. Hopefully he is in for a shock tomorrow as I have emailed the General Manager of the company he works for, Traffic Management Services (Retford), a copy of the video from my dashcam. Tried to email the company owner but couldn't guess his email address ;)

    *** VIDEO REMOVED ***

Private video? can't see it  but glad it turned out ok, I had some Tw*t in a car come flying round a bend on the wrong of the road the other week, we missed each other my mm  can't think what goes through their heads? was waiting at the junc on the brow of the hill a few months ago, when a car came up to the brow overtaking a lorry? just wished another lorry had come the other way and wiped the car driver out, it makes my ****ing blood boil, could easily take out the bikers doing these things  put cameras at these places to catch these drivers and not on fast straight roads to catch people a little over the speed limit I say :D

That's shocking driving, lucky there wasn't an accident. I'd be letting the police see that as well as his boss,i'd even be tempted to upload it to their facebook page:D

Good idea to email it to the company. I'd consider phoning up to find out their HR email address. Love the pic at the end BTW.

Had my dash cam for just a few months and only caught this so far:-

and how long do you think it is going to be before everyone with a grudge against bikers start sending their vids of speeding bikes to the police ? … might as well all go out and buy scooters now.
little brother is watching and he is going to grass you up to big brother.

Not the first highways maintenance vehicle I seen being driven by a cock! They seem to think they own the road because they dig it up and feck it up leaving it in a worse state than when they started

Well I had a good email back from their new General Manager so hopefully the driver will be getting a kicking for his driving, and there should be some more feedback later on. As I said in the email to the company I'm not some twat that wants him fired, but at the same time I don't want to be reading in the press about one of their vans killing someone because of dangerous driving that could have been prevented by the video, and that maybe some training would be appropriate.

No plans to send it to the police, and besides the original has probably been overwritten as the camera loops.

Personally I think a kick up the arse and a watch out because you never know is filming you talk is plenty.

Luckily my car is a bit of a old banger. Mind you if the screen had got cracked/chipped I would be billing them ;)

I know!! And that's why even though I'd like a dashcam I'm resisting it because I'd hate a world where all those wannabe coopers send my every overtake to Mr policeman. We're watched enough already, and I spend enough time looking out for cameras and coppers in bushes in case I stray 5 mph over a limit. Last thing I need to be doing is scanning every dash board and screen for a camera too, I'd last less than a week!

I heard back from the company today. The driver has had a disciplinary interview for Gross Misconduct. He has his punishment after fully admitting to the incident, quite severe punishment and more then I expected as it happens, and so I have decided to remove the video for 2 main reasons.

1 - He has been punished and I don't want him to get any more grief/hassles because the Police etc. see it.

2 - The company has acted rapidly and firmly to address the incident, and as a result don't deserve to have their name tarnished by what was hopefully a single incident.

Hopefully you will all understand the above reasons even if you don't necessarily agree with them.

If you come to this thread late and wonder what it was all about then HaHa and boo-sucks-to-be-you for not reading it earlier ;)
