got a 3 black thingy. It will only record about 5 minutes each time I use it and then it turns itself off ??? Thanks
If it's not the battery then try another SD card as it could be that the card stops the camera from recording which will set the sleep timer to kick in, powering the cam off.
I bought a cheap 64gb card and it turned out to be a clone. Looked and checked out as a 64gb card but it would not record properly. Wife even lost a load of pics when transferred to it from her phone.
Oh wow didn't no they could be that bad, il be checkin tomorrow afternoon. All that wasted video action just for a rubbish card. Well hopefully , hope it's not the camera
If u have to get a new card make sure it's class 10 with a good transfer rate. Try to buy a good brand like San disc etc. Have a look on www.zoombits.co.uk for cheap branded cards.
Some great prices on that site but didn't see anything suitable to handle 1080p or 4K in a gopro. If you want full HD or 4K you need to shell out for a decent pro card, you gets what you pays for.
I always buy San disk cards, ebay cheapy cards just don't work. Gopro recommend San disk also, they are now cheap I bought 64 gig for £23 quid I think..
What's wrong with a class 10, 48m/s card for £11!! http://www.zoombits.co.uk/memory/mi...ltra-android-micro-sdhc-plus-sd-adapter/28251
Personally mate id go for the extreme version ! Twice the speed ! SanDisk Extreme PRO 32GB SDHC UHS-I/U3 Memory Card up to 95MB/s Read FFP (SDSDXPA-032G-FFP)
The figures they quote is read speed, sounds good but a GoPro recording full HD or 4K wants that as a write speed.
Il get a new a new card then. Thanks everyone I tried the other card I had and it worked. The bad one was a San disk strangely. Hopefully the backpack battery works with a new card also. I fitted the back pack battery and it used to freeze up. Will try again
