Lovely bike! My Repsol's sister, good news on ABS hugger now available shall treat myself in the new year. Like Steve I've only managed 50 miles really don't want to get new bike caked in grime from roads.
Thanks for the positive comments! I was due to take the bike out today with some forum members. Unfortunately the roads were still icy and wet. As I've not weather proofed mine and I'm not too keen on the wet, I stayed in and took some more pictures of the bike in the garage - just added them to my album. Getting into this forum malarkey - never been a member of any forums before and my IT are less than limited, so this has opened up a whole new dimension to my life - I think I may have made myself sound a little sad there.... I'm not really - ahem.......
An envious position to be in - I'd like to have the latest photo edit programme too ha ha! I'm sure I'd have a twin - beer token permitting!
Sorry blade your eyes aint deceiving you (see the flying pig in the background) ??? nope they both are MINE all MINE ha ahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!...........
Mate long story but here goes.......i new bought cabs model in july while going through an addiction to Track days........so i took her out on a silverstone day out and hit a wee slick left by a binned R1 a few laps earlier.......so what do i do ? all right hand damage but bar end punctured frame...... was gonna sell her to a mate for 6 K as she was and he was gonna repair but he pulled out leaving me in the SH.T ! and i had already found a good replacement from a forum member off here.......... lots of calls later...... i managed to get all repairs done for (yes a considerable sum) but far less than buying all brand new...... so it leaves me with two at mo my CABS and my Non ABS........ yes im a greedy bugger...........
I saw the pics of the damaged bike somewhere while browsing various threads. Every cloud has a silver lining - I bet there are lots of riders who'd love two rides like those! Not the mid-life crisis I thought it was. haha
Well dont rule out the mid life breakdown, Repsol Rob ?? More like Impulse Rob..... but you know the worst part ?? No not the coming off.........The bloody walk of shame through the pits at silverstone and hearing the giggles (rotten sods)........lol
never done a track day but can relate to humility as much as the next man. I wrote off a new FJR in an accident that was totally my fault. I then dropped my next FJR (also new) at a t-junction during a busy rush hour. The embarrassment had such a profound and immediate effect that I mustered the strength to pick the thing up on my own and wheel it away to hide my shame! Both were costly affairs!
It's gotta be worse when you come off such a nice bike like they expect more of you on such a nice machine etc
its the risk you take.....but it did nt put me off have had both these bikes out round a track, they are effin brilliant tools, yes a track tool can cost just a few hundred quid but i dont want a ten year old, old tech motor........i ve found the track days have helped me become more confident road riding (yes a bit quicker too).......but a track bike is on the cards once i ve off loaded one of my babys....... PS prob will invest in a ten yr or older bike costing just a few hundred quid or less !! lol
If I were u and u could afford it I'd just turn one of your boys into a track steed £240 for a set of full race fairings keep your repsol fairings wrapped up safe n sound! That's kind of my plan anyway but my bikes prob not worth anywhere near as much as yours!
