    Hi all,
I have fitted some R&G fork protectors today that I bought of a chap on here.
I have got them to fit but the spindle just and I mean just engages the nuts and not sure if it's into the nylon on the nuts.
My bike is a 2014 model are the forks wider?
I have tightened them as much as I can put unsure about them. Rather them not vibrate loose when riding.
    Anyone else experienced this?

I watched that, I am pretty confident they are fitted right just the spindle is short. With others who have fitted these are the nuts fully engaged?

I have the spindle made from Titanium for my 09 and they did advise that they made two different lengths. Give them a call and they will happily send a replacement

I've got the same problem as you,i bought mine new from R&G direct 2 years ago for a 2012 model and i would say the spindle is a tad on the short side, barely sits flush with the end of the nuts.

No problems at all with the Evotec versions.

Not a fan of R&G gear tbh.

A new spindle would only be a tenner from a local engineering firm, not that U should have to.....

I've got to the bottom of it, on r&g website they state the spindle is 297mm whereas the spindle I have in the kit is 280mm so.... There must be a difference in width of 2008 to 2012 bikes that they then made the spindles longer which is true for new kits it probably not for people selling old stock. My are now off and I'll give r&g a call tomorrow.

I'll need to measure mine too,it'll be when Honda started using the new forks on 2012 onwards and I got sent a shorter spindle.
