    Hi i will need some new tyres soon so was hoping for some feedback on sizes on the back im on 50's but quite a few reviews and forums have recommended 55's has anybody gone from 50's to 55's and what do they think my riding is fair weather spirited twisty roads all advice and comments welcomed.

    A 55 will lift the back end about 8-9mm so effectively will sharpen up the head angle and make the bike tip in quicker. Far nicer feeling in a corner. Do it!
    Mines on a 55 and it handles superbly.

    Thanks for your comment are you running the standard 120 70 17 front?

    Standard front yeah. Setting the preload also makes a big difference, although I found a 0 mile rear shock for £50 so that also helps with the plush feeling. Suspension settings are also pretty much back to standard (within 0.5 a turn anyway) but the preload made the biggest difference.

    Standard front,55 on the rear. I swoped last year. The riding position is slightly different; but it feels a lot better. I had to raise the rear hugger by a few mm as the the 55mm tyre was touching the OEM red hugger.

    Have a search plenty of threads about this on the forum. I went to 55 and never looked back

    You don't have the ABS model do you? It was reported on here recently that switching to a 55 could be causing the problems people are having with the ABS system.
