after binning it at donny and giving poor old Dave v plenty of work to do to re build in time for brands.... We make it just in time, get 7th in solo sat then we entered endurance last minute and got 5th in class by 8 secs as we messed up our pits strategy but still pleased and was mega to do so will def do more endurance next year - but my bike felt a bit off and was chewing tyres like you wouldn't believe.... I've never done this to a front! But suspension set up back to base and new hoops saw me go out to suss it out and without pushing get a low 51 and 7th on grid - happy days!! Tricky conditions meant lots of tyres choices but Me and cookie could tell it was drying so gambled the drys Paid off and we soon charging down the front two rider with glory in sight Cookie slipped under me at Druids to then clip p2 who missed a gear and stood it up at graham hill... He went down and unfortunately my choices weren't great and instantly tried to avoid cookie but hit his bike.... Saved it and just when I thought a lucky escape the wet grass bit me.... Hard End result, one snapped collar bone! Really isn't my season. But like they say, that's racing, I guess
Give it 10min and Wedgie will be on here comparing Brands induced broken collar bones Get well soon Jimbo.
Mate I'm so gutted for you, as i said i put the motogp on pause because i saw you and cookie were in it for the win and then you both just vanished off the tracking screen... I really hope you mend quick and the bike isn't to bad, fuck the things we do for a bit of fun.....
bollox jimbo, hope you heel up soon enough, your catching matt at this rate wth crashes, just a shame you dont bounce aswell
Noooooooooo! Ah buddy absolutely gutted for you really having no luck this year. Speak to wedgie buddy but I'm sure he'll advise don't rush it. Keep us up to date with the op if you can get one soon!
Blimey, that's the rest of the year out of action again As for the tyre, is the rear inline with the front as I'm gonna borrow an Eronemeter to check mine and may be able to take it to the next forum track day to check anyone else's too. Either that or it could be worth talking to a tyre guy.
Cheers guys. Bike isn't too bad tbh, just fairings but they were ropey anyway lol.... I should be ready for last two rounds, just weather or not I can be arsed with it is a diff question.... Done my bollox getting to brands and fancy not being skint for a little while lol. Also have Jerez in November which I'm not missing for the world ha! MK - wheels are fine, was ploughing the front so raised ride height and softened the suspension up to allow it to move, brands Indy is full on and the suspension was working enough so loading tyre out. Wear was perfect afterwards and bike felt mint.
Been there and saw this Jimbo...ouch! You were not in a great mood when the ambulance brought you back that is why i stayed quite lol. Hope you feel better and have a good recovery
That's a good break !! Hope you heel soon matey, I'm just gutted that you didn't get on that podium mate
Sorry mate, just put so much time and effort and money to get there this weekend I was gutted tbh as was just bad luck, no more no less....
I heard you...it is so frustrating after all this but it will go away.. The good thing is that you had a few good laps, oh and fast!! but is that split second that buggers things up Cheers Mate
