Is this a motodynamic rear light? I had one on my old R6 I'm looking at getting another one.
These lights are fine for MOT's

Did you have to pay any import duty/tax on shipping from America, or is it sorted so that a UK distributor sends it?

Looks great. I'll get one myself if the local Honda garage confirms no real MOT issues. Did you go clear or smoke lens?

    Thanks, Martin

Just spoken to Honda and the MOT inspector said he would probably fail it on account of the light 'interfering with the brake light'. I assume he means that if you apply brake whilst indicating then the brake light might be obscured (or interfered with) by the pulsing lights!

The new models you can turn off the indicators for the mot but you'd need to fit the old ones which is a pain, if you get away with it come mot time you're lucky as integrated brake indicators are a fail on a mot it's because they flash in the same space! US law is different so they get away with.

I went with led strips for mine with separate brake and indicators

If it's not too much hassle, could you put a picture or video up or your arrangement at some point please? It would be good to compare the look vs standard.

    Cheers

    Hi Matey

In relation to the MOT Failure business, I took it to a bike MOT Station and they said its perfectly legal and will pass the standard MOT regs...
If you were a bit worried about the pulsation of the indications you can set it to be a solid indication if so wished ?? but why you would i just dont know.

If you see lately the AUDI cars are fitted with them as standard so iys tottally upto yourself matey but i have had it from garage that the light is up to standard there are allsorts of combinations you can program the light to achieve just at the push of a button, also regards to the import taxes they are all covered i have no duty impossed on myself that is why the unit was slightly more expensive than some you may find...

I have had these light units on an older 05 plate Ninja i used to own and that flew through MOT every year...
