How easy to fit? Do I need to remove the tank or just lift it up???

You can remove the tank it would be easier, I just lifted it up and disconnected the wiring harness plugs and took cover off airbox.

Another vote for pipercross. I got one on the group buy with the rest of the chaps on here. Looks good, fits well, and although I'm mechanically inept, I managed to fit in in 20 minutes flat. I didn't take the tank off, just lifted & propped it up. You would not believe the shit I found in my airbox as well - stones, dead wasps & fag butts!!!

Thanks guys, just ordered one. I am not bad at mechanics, but hate taking things apart as I'm so ham fisted that I tend o break something.

Some good reviews from bike mags on the MWR filter via speedycom. Reading now saying many moto gp Bsb and wsb teams use them
