......as I can't make my mind up, I am in a quandary as to a rad guard, yes I think I should have one, the place I am stuck is the colour, I know it don't matter, but then, it does.... Choices are really Red or Black? Black would disappear and never be seen, Red would stand out and would match the front mudguard. Also the Red is a few quid cheaper, lol, but I am not torn either way at the moment What do you think, remembering these photos make it appear really dark underneath whereas in reality you can see right up there and its only the camera not letting enough light in as to why its dark there. Have you got had one on yours, how does it look? Thanks
I've just changed my opinion of rad guards. Removed mine after 2 ish year after slightly high operation temps. Guards are great at protecting the rad from stones etc .............but if you ride in all weathers it allows crud flung up from the tyre to be built up and baked onto the rad. Once baked in( it will be a 3 inch strip down the middle) you will not be able to remove it, this will reduce the efficiency of the rad. This is all fine if you a dry weather rider, but if you ride in the wet you ideally need to remove the guard and give it a good hosing down before the next use. IMO the fenda extenda is far more practical for the all year rider
Ill take some photos of mine later if u want, I've just ordered the r&g exhaust grill. First grill came damaged and r&g badge up side down
As mine is a 2010 model I assume there isn't a grill for the downpipes as I can only find ones to fit 2012-2015?
I looked at the R&G rad guard, but always preferred the Evotech one. I wasn't disappointed when I got one - it looks awesome!
Sorry, my bad, I thought you meant for the Evotech one I can get the R&G one from eBay at a reasonable price, pretty much compares to sportsbikeshop, a few pence less on eBay I think.
Really, how do we go about getting that? Its ok, I will search the site, I am sure I will find it, cheers *EDIT : Just put up a post in their part of the forum asking for a price
