Then I'm surprised you were told it would be an MOT fail. The light is E marked and MOT compliant.

My one is a Chinese Knock Off so no e-mark. he said the indicators were too close together to be a pass, but as i had the standard ones on the stalks connected as well it was perfectly fine as a joint thing

As far as I understood it, an E mark is not an instant pass, it is still subject to the laws in a particular country, so if one of those is indicators a certain distance apart, then it can have an E mark for Europe, but still fail the UK test.

On the link provided there is a bit of a clause at the bottom of the page as per below:
**It is the users responsibility to ensure compliance with their country's regulations.

Just spent the best part of 4 hours (in between working) searching for a UK supplier for this Light unit. Can't find anyone anywhere, Not even in China!!! looks like i'm going to have to bite the Bullet and pay the best part of £95 for it with delivery and import duty, I suppose a standard one from Honda would be that (and some) so it's not too much of a bad deal.

Shame, I was hoping you would succeed where I failed, lol.

I just can't justify one yet if its not from the UK, think I will get a rad guard sorted first and then just hope someone sells one second hand at some point, lol ;)

Erm, not so sure on that one, think that's just the USA side of things, I tried it and it still says its subject to your contries duty, and of course over here another £8 for Royal Mail to line their pockets with :(

I may still just get it anyway. i want the rear end to be nice and neat and tidy and that is the best way of doing it so while i have a budget for Mods on the new Bike i may as well get it now rather than wait and take it out of my Monthly beer money

Are we preferring the clear one or smoked? I'm wondering which might allow the pulsing indicator to be better visible in contrast to the red light.

I think I prefer the look of the smoked on my HRC colour scheme.

    Thoughts?

Mines clear and very visible, a friend had a smoked one and was still very visable

My Gixxer is a cheapo one that is smoked and is really visable so this one being expensive should be pretty good

If I remove the indicator stalks completely, is it a difficult job to re-wire them back in? (Just in case the MOT calls for this measure!)

    Never tried!!!

Not done it on a blade as not picked mine up yet but on the Gixxer its a 5 minute job. Ive left bullet connectors on the indicators and in the wires under tge seat so its just a matter of plugging them in

In the event of an accident from the rear ( sorry couldn't think of how else to say it) could an insurance claim be invalid as non legal spaced indicators ?
