Most on here say that the Dunlops are not so good. I've not had any problems with them and they seem grippy enough to me. That said I have only used the bike in the dry so can't comment on their wet weather performance. I think when I replace them though, I'd like to try the Pirellis that are on the SP as I'm not concerned about mileage and want to see how they perform!

Seems that both Dunlops and Bridgestones are fitted to the new Blade; mines came with the Dunlops.

When I bought my 12 blade new from the dealer he had two in stock, one with dunlops and one with bridgestones.....I'm not a Dunlop fan either and wanted to try the new s20's so picked the one on the left. They obviously roll out the factory with whatever is on the shelf.

Mine came with Dunlop Qualifiers, did a deal with the dealer for a FOC swap to Pilot Road 4s, perfect tyre for a Blade on the road.

I've had my 2015 Standard Blade for almost three months now and as has been said before, its as much as you'll ever need unless your a track day warrior. 1,600 trouble free miles.

I went NON ABS as my previous 2011 blade was also non ABS and I'd didn't want the risk of spoiling an otherwise great bike with the unpredictable ABS.

Additions so far are new lever, SP Seat Cowl, RaceFit Black Edition Exhaust, Power Commander and all re-mapped.

And the one below is the day it was delivered.

Here ya go...... not a great pic, but gives you and idea of how the RaceFit looks on the bike.

No problems at all once it was mapped. If you don't map it, you'll loose a bit of low down torque, that's normal with an exhaust with little back pressure, once mapped you'll love the bike.

But you have to like loud exhausts, as it's certainly loud.

    Okay, time for my 2p

I have a '15 Repsol SP, and love the thing.

I'm 6'2 and it's perfectly comfy for short blasts, or all day on track, or 3 consecutive days at Aragon a few weeks back. Never missed a beat, never felt unsettled in any way. (Could have done with a few more HP to keep up with the R1M though)

Perfectly at home on roads as well as track.

I LOVE the bike... but seriously doubt I'll ever have another Honda.

Their 'customer service' has disgusted and appalled me. Having had 5 separate 'phone conversations with them regarding the recall for the rear shock, and the p**s taking fact that the bike can be off the road for 2 weeks, the best response I have had from them was that they would be 'confident' that I'd have the bike back in time for my trip round the Swiss Alps next week. 'Confident' is not good enough, and they would not commit to anything else. Want reassurance that I'd get a loan bike if the work wasn't sorted out in time? No chance. Want it in writing that it would be done and ready? Not a prayer.
We are talking about the best part of £16k for a bike, and their attitude appears to be 'we have your money, now go away and be quiet'

If it wasn't for the fact that my new leathers had already been ordered, the bike would have gone. As it is, I'll enjoy it for the next year or so, then it's on to pastures new.

Buyer beware. Fantastic bike, shit, shit, shit customer service!

(NOT the dealer's fault, I must add)

Another reason I opted for the standard over the SP have heard lot of issues with tho ohlins shock.. Tho if was 6'2 I would have gone SP i just felt a lil stretched over tank at 5'9

My mate had similar issues with BMW with a faulty HP4. No refund after 3 tries at fixing the issues and rejecting the bike. Lost confidence in using the bike and the only thing they would do was to give him a lesser product (S1000RR Motorrad) and some extras to make up the short fall. Lost out big time. Ended up selling the S1000RR with 1015 miles on it for £11500. Lost over £5k in less than 18 months.

It's not just Honda these days. They're all at it. Customer service is a thing of the past.

Picked up the new bike today and love it .. Even tho I've not gone above 4-6000 rpm I can't tell it's snappy on bottom end in 2nd and 3rd think a pipe and map are a def on the cards after 1st service .. Higher gears seems perfect tho
