So I'm a bit OCD with my bikes and like cleaning them nearly as much as riding them.. My fave product for removing anything and leaving them looking shiney is gt85 # bullshit spray.. A bit on a cloth for rims and grease marks or a engine lathering if has got wet makes them smell good too.. any other weirdos ha?
ACF 50 for the cycle parts and anything black, mr sheen for the bodywork (once you have a coat of good wax on there obv) and WD40 for the wheels once they are covered in shite.
I am an sdoc100 man, great stuff, not cheap but what a job it does, and it's a gel so doesn't just fall off the bike on application also a corrosion inhibitor, degreasant, take slapped bugs off, cleans the chain etc ready for new lube, I think it's great, only downside is it is expensive
Was given Muc Off bike cleaner; so have been using this as a pre-wash prior to using Zaino or Gtechniq wash. Use Gtechniq metal polish on exhaust. Will try SDOC 100 once Muc off runs out as have been really impressed with their chain cleaner & chain spray.
I guess if I said washing up liquid and warm water I am going to look like a right cheap skate, but hey, that's what I normally use though just going through 2 bottles of Muck Off as I was given them when I bought my leathers, would be wasteful not to use them. Once in a while I do admit it gets an Autoglym Super Resin polish, but it really doesn't need it very often at all. Like one bottle lasts years!
You really should stay from washing up liquid as it contains salt and we all know what that does to fasteners when combined with moist damp air!!! Stick with a cheap car shampoo is better than nothing.
SDOC GEL cleaner for a proper clean inside the fairings, engine, etc ValetPro Advanced snow foam for general cleaning GTechniq C1 / C2v3 and EXOv2 for protection. Wheels protected with GTechniq C5 Chain cleaned with WD40 and Motul C4 race lube
I will do , cheers, though to be fair the normal is just warm water and a sponge, the washing up liquid was a treat Cheap car shampoo it will be as from now
So far I've only used Zaino Z6 then a finish off with Z8, as that is what I use for the cars, and it does a great job.
I have to many cleaning products to list. Paraffin is great and cheap for cleaning chains. Am a big fan of Wurth Dry chain lube but been on SDoc 100 chain lube now after a very good review on here last year. Love Dodo Juice, GTechniq , Swissvax also,
Muc off degreaser for chain and sprockets, also dissolves flung off lube in hard to reach places, then Halfords foaming wheel cleaner for the,er,wheels Then it's got to be Meguiars Ultimate for everything else
I think my biggest problem is thats not the half of it. Lol I would spend loads more time cleaning bikes and cars just don't have the time with work and family. i can loose half a day on "just going out to wash the car " love on a weekend lol
sdoc100 gel Zymol wax Honda polish (not used it yet on the blade, but its brilliant at cleaning/polishing the street triple's arrow cans and exhaust)
Good shit the sdoc 100 then it's .meguiars gold and .meguiars super resin polish and then detail wax jobs a good yin
