Since fitting the Brembo RCS 16 clutch master cylinder the other day, I've noticed a little bit of clutch drag. I've bled the clutch a couple of times since, and wound the span adjuster and the RCS adjustment fully out but the lever is still close to the grip when the clutch plates start to bite. I never had any issues with the original master cylinder and stubby levers. Is there any adjustment in the rod from slave cylinder to clutch pack ?? I'm going to buy some more braided brake lines and will order a clutch pipe too, hopefully that will assist in giving a bit more fluid pressure to the slave, but I'm a little mystified as to why, as the Brembo should give more or better operation, why its seemingly gone the opposite way.
I'm interested in this but not sure about the conversion as the std blade has a cable-clutch. Would you mind posting details of what you had to do to fit the Hydraulic clutch. Thanks, Karl
I cut around 3mm off the end of an M4 bolt and inserted it into the hole inside the lever to extended the reach of the cylinder rod when mine was slipping. Turned out to be a worn clutch in the end so I took it out, but it did allow the lever to move further away from the bars though.
My bike is an RR7 with the hydraulic clutch as standard, 08- bike went on to using a cable operated clutch.
I already have the span adjustment all the way out, the clutch starts to bite just off the grip, where, with the Honda mc it was about 1/3 way back to travel. The Brembo kit it the fully adjustable 16-18 which I have turned fully up to the 18 setting. The bike only has 10.5k on it so the clutch should be ok, unless the slipper unit increases wear rates..but then I would have had the issue before the new mc was fitted
