Well gents, having finally got my work life sorted and back on track, with more hours in my life then the companys, probably a good time to round off the season.

Well as far as my predictions went, it was not hard really to forecast the season.

Champions...Chelski at a canter, not because they are a great team, just that the rest really are average at best, PL maybe billed as the most exciting league in the world, but its certainly not stuffed with the best teams or players in the world at present. What it does do well, is the fact that the worst can and do beat the best, so individual results are unpredictable, but sadly the end result is pretty much a lock.

The drop zone, was filled with 3 of my 4 predictions..Leicester performing the miracle, bottom at Christmas and survived, only the 3rd team in PL history to perform that trick.

    So what did we learn?

Citeh....team of bit part players, that really must rebuild, Pelligrini...will he survive, probably, but a week is along time in football.

Gooners...Bridesmaids again, looked strong in spells, but cracked in the end, how long do they stay loyal to Wenger? I cannot see this club winning the PL again under him.........he gets more eccentric by the season.

That leaves the Manks, strange one this, largely a pile of shite but just ground out results and dragged themselves into the CL frame, LvG did what was required, but again need to spend to improve.

JVs boys down at The Lane dragged themselves into 5th after an inconsistent season, mainly aided and abetted by the Pools implosion of form and Sotons inability to close it out.

Both teams need to bring in some quality to move forward, interesting to see where the Sterling dust falls, and just shows the power agents have over their clients.

I guess if the Pooch was offered 5th at the start of the season he would have took it, but tbh the team he dumped played better football throughout the course of the campaign, but just did not have enough depth to sustain a top 5 finish.

That brings me to the PL manger of the season and the team of the season... Cruise Liner Works FC. The state the club was left in by the departing Pooch and wannabe stars looked precarious, but Koeman has steadied the ship, bought in players and formed a squad that not only believes in itself but plays attractive football, just let down by the depth of squad needed to sustain a challenge, hopefully the owner will trust him and invest, the club deserves it.

Potters overplayed themselves and had their most successful season, it sure ain't pretty and very often ugly and violent, but they really are the modern day Wimbledon in my eyes.

As for the drop zone, well the pantomime at Loftus Rd just goes on, vastly overpaid donkeys, an owner that was dumb enough to keep pumping more money into Redknapps folly, really one of the worst PL teams in years and got what they deserved.

Burnley, the writing was on the wall from Day 1, no investment to stay in the PL, So took they money and enjoyed a few days out at he top table.

Hull, sorry for the loyal fans, but karma for the owner, a classic lesson in how of you attempt f**k with history it can come back and bite you like a Tiger.

The Toon....words cannot describe what Ashley is doing to that proud club, it is the biggest pantomime in top level football.

The rest, well we all know that one....well as usual they were fighting to not fall into the relegation dogfight and try to end up in a nice safe mid table finish so they can sit back at the top table again next season and play with the gravy train, whilst their employees on the playing side and their employees agents get fatter and fatter by the day.

One last shout out, that miserable, sour, fat, ugly twat that goes by the name Big Fat Sam has gone. I don't give a flying f**k if we get relegated next season as long as I do not have to stand there and watch that dire brand of putrid football ever again.

Its not going to be the same without at least one chorus of 'F**k off Allardyce' every 5 mins during the game..adios amigo, the most despised manager in our history.

I'm a Spurs fan, and think the fact that we managed to finish 5th shows just how mediocre the PL is. If we were in the Spanish, Italian or German leagues we would have been mid-table at best. The lads put in a couple of stonking performances (Chelsea!!!) but by and large only a couple of our players ever performed at the same time... like they had some form of rota system!

And agree about Koeman... got to say I'm fast becoming a secret supporter of Southampton.

I support two London teams, one is Chelsea the other in Arsenal. My first team of choice was Man U, but then I swoped to Man City, three seasons ago. Consequently one of my teams always wins something.

Well I am a life long Aston Villa fans so I don't know squat about football, but then again neither do my team if yesterdays performance is anything to go by.

I am supporting Slavinia . To think some of these players are on £200k a week. The mind boggles.

Watched the game in a bar in New Jersey, whilst every one else was watching the screens showing rounders, could not control the urge to jump up and give it the big one when Shrek scored the 3rd goal, much to every other persons surprise..........then ensued a deep meaningful conversation as to what the term World Champions really means as opposed to a team winning a domestic competition and claiming to be World Champions.

Our colonial cousins really seem to struggle with the global concept.

Bring it on. The mighty West Ham back in Europe and not just on their holidays for a change.

Passport at the ready and the poxy stadium holds 900, chances of a ticket are slightly worse than zero.

If we f**k up against a bunch of Andorian waiters, plumbers, builders and nail technicians...then I am giving up and taking up a pub game like darts or snooker.

OK Dave, will put some thought into it.

Just pleased to see that our new manager took the correct decision and sent a team of 16-18 year olds across to the land of car wash operatives, and made sure we quietly slipped out of Europe, that's a distraction we did not need.
