After its MOT, the first run out after a complete winter overhaul culminated in the failure of one of the rear hub bearings, typically the only bloody bearings I did not renew, then being gobsmacked the Honda wanted £300 for 2 bearings, axle bolt and clips and seals, I waited until I was working in the States and bought the lot £90, thanks Honda US . Then found I did not have the right adapter to drive the bearings in, so had one made up at a local engineering shop, so finally rolled out of the garage today and hopefully no more downtime this summer. The pleasure of riding these little bikes never diminishes .
that looks like a cracking example.very under rated these days the little jap 400's (by the young un's,not by the older folk )
Thanks Gents. Just had a run down to Rye and back, nothing appears to have broke, fallen off or leaked, so hopefully just riding days now.
Totally agree, my First "Legal" bike was GSXR 400 and i loved it, I learnt so much on that bike and it was the perfect starter bike and set me up to be safer on the GSXR600 i got 6 months later. I am shocked they don't make the 400's anymore, but i guess the new 300's are probably putting out more power than the old 400's used too.
Fantastic lookin bike, you've done a great job, owned the 400 cbr and 400 gpz years ago, so much fun sometimes wish I still owned it.
