U should of asked him how honda could fix a problem that according to themselves does not exist???

The abs ecu has had about 7 or 8 revisions since late 2009 (four versions until they altered the part code in 2012) none of which stopped the main brake issues which again honda says does not exist!

Guessing you are not all that far down the road from me as I am in Cambridge :)

You obviously enjoyed the bike lots. I hung my nose over a red 14 plate blade while I was there I have to admit, only went in the for brake pads, lol. Was trying to convince the Mrs to sell he CBR600 and have my blade so I could get that one, but she was having none of it, lol

I'm so glad I didn't go for abs, I've never needed it! I just ride to the conditions also today's tyre are pretty fecking awesome and tend not to let go! But I've ridden both abs and non! Non abs brakes feel much sharper and more progressive but it's the cost of maintaining abs and the ticking time bomb aspect that makes me most thankful ;)

Too late to cancel? Your life has to be worth more than that. If you really really need ABS, buy a BMW...

    Why is easy.

VOSA test what Honda give them. Now while it is possible to get the brakes working correctly, IMO it's something that probably needs to be done weekly... The thing is just so prone to leaking air into the lines (Which is clearly why Honda always advise the deer to bleed the system if there's any issues), that it's just not reliable.

Mine (2012 C-ABS) is just crap. Spongy and unreliable.

No it wasn't too late. I did call and change the spec and i have the non ABS bike coming. I do find it a concern though because as of 2016 your not going to have the choice. In actual fact I've been told that all SP models built as of NOW are ABS only.. worrying if indeed there really is still the same issue..

I'm really glad for you mate you'll never have issues with brakes now so can just enjoy the bike with piece of mind and the joy of £10 & 30 mins brake bleeding ;) one more piece of advice if it comes with Dunlop Qualifiers fitted the money you saved on abs get yourself a decent set of hoops Dunlop Sportsmart, Metz m7 rr's or similar as Qualifiers are total shite and will give you moments abs or not! Now go have fun mate :D

Or if you ride in the wet stuff or do loads of miles treat yourself to some PR4's

I think it is question of adaptation to braking.
I use a non-ABS blade. Most of time I use the engine to brake and it is enough even in wet road.
But in the last fall a ABS brakes would not have been bad...
The next i'll get one with ABS

If you are going to use it for the track then no ABS, if you plan to commute in all weathers then ABS is probably a worthy option.

I have nothing against ABS as such as long as it works at stated, I just worry about the Honda one, due to hearing lots of worrying stories from owners

Do other marques have to same problems do we know, or just the Honda setup

I ask because I don't have ABS but my next bike might?

It would seem its a Honda thing mainly the BMW for example is said to be very good. I think the problem is that Honda have tried to refine the system so much that there's too many electronically controlled parts to the system. Which is probably superior all the time its doing just what it should be. But as we all know electronics hiccup and who wants a hiccup when your approaching something too hot and grab a handful of nothing.

This I feel has the potential to ruin there customer Base being that as of 2016 all 125s and over have to be made with it.

They have to change the system that's the way I see it.

Is there any on/off ABS switch as some car have?
It could solve the track problems...

Can't switch ABS off on any vehicles as far as I'm aware. Traction controll, yes.
