Leather Cleaning

Went into my local dry cleaners yesterday inquiring about getting my 1 piece suit cleaned. When I asked how much the lady said two fifty. That left me a little confused as I thought that can't be right £2.50...... of course what she meant was two hundred and fifty! !!!!!! Anyone got any idea if that is a fair price, she did say it would be real professional job, just seems like a lot to me,cheers.

Leather cleaner/feeder and baby wipes will do a great job and leave you loads of money spare.

 

I know there is a guy from near Coventry who offers cleaning for much cheaper than you have been quoted.

Thanks for that, Just checked out their website and they are £190 cheaper than what I got quoted. Someone is having a laugh.

 

Scrubbers leathers were featured in a 4 page article in April's Ride magazine, they certainly look the place to send them for a good job!

 

I have actually (I mean my wife has) washed leathers in the washing machine!!! Removed all the armour, and turned inside out. Washed on a cool short cycle(not too much powder), they came out great. Left them to dry naturally(still inside out at first, the pulled them in the right way) in warm place(not too hot) used some leather balm stuff on them when dry they were like new. Tried this one two one piece suits no damage to either.

 

Done mine in the shower while wearing them with soap lol.... use baby wipes day to day though. Be surprised how they clean with a wipe

 

Lets put it this way, Jackson's dry cleaners charged £100 to have my wife's wedding dress cleaned ready for storage. Now that wouldn't have been a quick job, so £250 for a set of leathers seems excessive.

Just go for a ride in the rain, they'll soon clean up

Very pleased with the outcome, as they say 'you can't polish a turd' but they had a pretty good go

 

Leather sofa cleaning and conditioning wipes,my leathers 7 year old and still look great.

 

Hey guys, thanks for all the tips, a real variety of options☺ reckon I'll have a go with some wipes and cleaner and if that fails it's shower time will definitely consider sending them to scrubbers come the winter though.

 

I've used these before. Done a good job.

 

Try Gtechniq leather cleaner. Their products are all top quality.

 

andelle leathers (nr bolton,but you can post them no probs) clean leathers for about £60 and do a very good job.

 

Seems a good idea. At least the smell increase.
To give external surface treatment i strong recommend original Nivea cream applied with a soft cloth. It resets the shine and smooths the leather.
