Ok the Bazzaz kit is on route Im downloading the software now Any body used it ? I know 1 or 2 members are running Bazzaz fuel tuners Is it much harder than Dynojet ? I read there is a lot more features ??
I was toying between a pcv and bazzaz for my 05.I ended up with a pcv anyway because i dont really know enough about bazzaz to get one.
Yeah i have a power commander 5 now . The exiting thing about the Bazzaz is that it takes control of all 8 injectors . Software looks a bit nuts thou as you can set target fuel ratios with the auto tune or something like that anyway lol
You can get the pcv to do all 8 injectors, Just need a second fule module. You can also programme 2 maps on it but you need to buy the map switch.
That was my thoughts on it lol , Won it on ebay mate .. Im keeping the PCV just incase its faulty but fingers crossed its all ok and i can sell the PCV to cover the costs The guy said its 10 months old and has given me the tracking details so its on route , jus hoping its all cool
What a proper steal dan!!! i would pick one over a pcv but they aint and i got a pcv so am happy good luck/fun mate
Yeah i was shocked when i had the email saying i had won Remal posted it up on here and starting bid was 120 which i was already winning at the start price . I raised it by a tenner and never looked again till i had the mail asking me to pay Happy days as long as its all fine The seller has been very good keeping me informed on delivery etc and emailed a lot of info on set up and where to download the software from etc so seems genuine
https://www.motomummy.com/store/pages.php?pageid=19 Simple guide here. It's not gospel, but gives the general idea around the software etc.
I would like to add to the thread that with a stock motor (not inc exhaust and filter etc) there is no benifit to mapping 8 injectors, sounds good but not needed at all, they only time you would need to map all 8 is if your bike is in a high state of tune such as big bore, flowed head, cams, turbo, supercharger and so on only then would you need to map the bike to add soooo much more fuel you need to map all 8, hence why Dynojet split the PCV and the SFM to keep costs down. Quote DJ US (Re 8 injectors and whats better PCV or Bazzaz):- "The good ole placebo, butt dyno! Dyno runs back to back would be the only way to know for sure, like the ones I posted months ago. We have mapped this bike adjusting the lowers only, uppers only , and then using both, same results, same power. If adjusting the uppers is so important then everyone should surely use the PCV with SFM as we allow you to map both sets individually where other brands do not!! " The facts:- "I know this graph is not of a CBR but should get the point across. The GSXR models use the upper injectors in the upper RPM range way more than any other model. For example, duty cycle for a GSXR on the lowers is about 20% and 60% on the uppers. for the CBR you are looking at 45% on the lowers and 50% on the uppers. This graph shows the bike mapped with a full system just using the lowers (run .013) and then we zeroed out the 80-100% columns on the lowers and mapped it only using the uppers. Same results. We also mapped it in basic mode which puts the same value in the lowers and uppers and same results again. " The chart:- Bazzaz marketing defo works though..
One of our selling points is how intuitive our software interface is. I think you'll be pleased. Take a look below at the fuel map screen. The box stores two fuel maps and is pre-programmed for each bike with a slip-on exhaust. TPS on the left is throttle position. So for each throttle position and RPM combination, you have a cell. All of this is easily adjustable. You can select each cell, incrementally change it, or just throw in a new number. Down at the bottom, you see that you can trim by gear and, on some, by cylinder. On the bottom left, you can save maps or load them. On the right are the RPMs and throttle position. But remember that you don't have to have the box even plugged in to the bike to adjust the software (unless self-mapping). As easy as it is, there is a lot you can do with it. Especially when you get into self mapping (which we proudly invented, by the way!) and traction control. So we offer weekly webinars with a professional race tuner. They'll resume after the holidays and you can find info here. Anyone can download the software from bazzaz.net and play around in the 'work offline' mode if they're interested in some of the other features. Instructions are on the site as well. Have fun!
